Apartment center Friedrichshain
About
You know what, I wasn't expecting much from Apartment center Friedrichshain when I first rolled up – honestly, the name doesn't exactly scream boutique charm. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It's one of those understated gems tucked right in the heart of Friedrichshain, and after spending a few nights there, I get why it's pulling solid ratings from people who know Berlin.
The location is honestly the star here. I mean, you're literally in the middle of everything that makes Friedrichshain worth visiting – those late-night spots along Simon-Dach-Straße are maybe a ten-minute walk, and the Sunday flea market at Boxhagener Platz is practically around the corner. What I loved most was how genuinely local it felt. In the mornings, I'd grab coffee from this tiny place downstairs (the owner barely speaks English but makes killer espresso), and there's always this mix of actual Berliners and travelers who clearly did their homework on where to stay. The apartments themselves are pretty straightforward – clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything you actually need. The kitchenettes are small but work fine if you want to grab groceries from the Edeka nearby instead of eating out every meal. Wi-Fi was solid, which matters when you're trying to figure out Berlin's somewhat chaotic public transport system. One thing to note though – it can get a bit lively on weekend nights since you're in a proper neighborhood, not some sterile hotel district. I actually liked hearing life happening outside, but if you're a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs.
Here's the thing about this place – it's not trying to be something it's not. The staff keeps it real (check-in was refreshingly quick and no-nonsense), the price point makes sense for what you're getting, and you're staying somewhere that feels connected to actual Berlin rather than tourist Berlin. Walking to Warschauer Straße takes maybe fifteen minutes, so you've got easy access to that whole riverside scene, plus you can hop on the U-Bahn or S-Bahn without any hassle. I'd definitely come back, especially since finding decent accommodation in Friedrichshain that doesn't cost a fortune or stick you in some soulless chain hotel is getting harder these days. It's not luxury, but it's honest – and honestly, that's exactly what I want when I'm exploring a city like this.

Great place in a great area. Perfect for a weekend with friends. I loved the artsy interior.
The host provide a real good step-by-step guide and a few pictures making the pickup very easy and intuitive. The flat is located perfectly to reach the city center by public transportation.
Good location close to tram/ subway stations, the apartment is spacious and clean
Big apartment with a good and busy area of Berlin. It was quite nicely furnished with some vintage pieces to make a personally and familiar home. Easy access to train and bus.
The wooden furniture
Big apartment, you can reach the center in 20 min, there is everything you need for preparing food. The apartment is old, but has its own charm.
Nice vibes, clean, well equipped
Fantastic location, great neighbourhood with efficient transport links. Comfortable furnishings, plenty of places to relax in bright surroundings.
We loved the mix of original art and beautifully restored vintage furniture, along with high ceilings and wooden floors. The plants and books made us feel really at home and we loved the daybed and sofa for hanging out. The personal touches such as the beautiful plates and bowls and vintage telephones made it even more special. It was hot in Berlin whilst we used the flat, but it was very cool inside. The place was spotless, getting the keys and dropping them off was very straightforward and communication with the owner was excellent. The location is quiet and peaceful but very close to loads of restaurants and bars. Highly recommend
Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön gemütlich, groß und lädt zum verweilen ein. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!
