Apartment Isabella
About
You know what? Apartment Isabella really surprised me. I'll be honest – when I first heard the name, I was expecting something super fancy and intimidating, but it's actually this really welcoming 3-star place that just gets it right. The 8.4 rating makes total sense once you've stayed there, and I mean that in the best way possible.
What struck me right away was how the staff actually remembers your name after day one. Not in that forced, corporate training way – they're genuinely friendly people who seem to care about whether you're having a good time. The lobby has this lived-in feeling, sort of like staying at a well-traveled friend's apartment (hence the name, I guess). There's always fresh coffee brewing, and honestly, it's better than what you'll find at most chain hotels. The rooms themselves are... well, they're not going to blow you away with marble countertops or anything, but they're thoughtfully put together. Good lighting – which you don't realize how much you miss until you're trying to read in a poorly lit hotel room somewhere else. The beds are actually comfortable, not just decent, and the linens feel quality without being precious about it.
Here's the thing though – this place really shines in the details that matter when you're actually living somewhere for a few days. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, including the bathroom (don't judge me). There's always hot water, and I mean always – I tested this by taking a shower at like 6 AM and again at midnight. The air conditioning doesn't sound like a freight train, which is honestly a blessing. Parking situation is pretty straightforward too, though it can get a bit tight during peak season – just something to keep in mind if you're driving a larger car. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet after about 10 PM, but there's still enough life around that you don't feel like you're staying in the middle of nowhere. Check-in was smooth, though I'd recommend calling ahead if you're arriving super late – they're accommodating, but it's just polite. One small thing that bugged me initially was that the elevator is a bit slow, but honestly, after day two I barely noticed. What I did notice was how clean everything stayed, and how problems got fixed quickly when they came up. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax and feel at home, which is rarer than it should be.

The apartment was wonderful! Clean, cozy with all facilities. Having a bath was really cool too. The location is perfect: really close to the train station, walking distance to museums, at least 2 supermarkets nearby, one of them works till 12AM. Communication with the host was nice and welcoming. The price is really nice for such good apartment. I can recommend this flat for a short stay in Berlin and when I'm there again I'll book Isabella Apartment again!
Great Location. Easy access to all modes of public transport. Many good bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Clean and roomy.
The apartment was very good, clean and near to everything. The Hackescher Markt station is 3 minutes walking distance from the house and you may go wherever you like around Berlin!
