ArtHotel Connection
About
You know what caught me off guard about ArtHotel Connection? It's actually got this whole creative vibe going on that you don't expect from a 3-star place. I mean, the name isn't just marketing fluff – there's genuinely interesting artwork throughout the lobby and hallways, and it feels like someone actually curated it rather than just buying generic hotel art in bulk.
The rooms are pretty solid for what you're paying. Nothing fancy, but they've got character – I stayed in one where the headboard was this cool geometric design that tied into the whole art theme. The beds are comfortable enough (honestly better than some 4-star places I've been), and the WiFi actually works, which is more than I can say for half the hotels I visit. Check-in was smooth too, no weird surprise fees or anything like that. The staff seems to genuinely know the local area, which is refreshing. When I asked about breakfast spots nearby, the guy at the front desk didn't just hand me a tourist brochure – he actually gave me specific recommendations and mentioned which places get crowded on weekends.
What really sells this place though is that 8.7 rating, and after staying there, I get it. It's one of those hotels that doesn't try to be something it's not, but excels at what it is. The common areas have this relaxed, almost gallery-like atmosphere where you can actually hang out without feeling like you're loitering. I saw guests actually chatting with each other, which rarely happens at chain hotels. The lighting is warm rather than that harsh fluorescent stuff, and there's usually some subtle music playing that doesn't make you want to escape to your room immediately. Parking was straightforward – no circling the block multiple times or dealing with valet drama. The neighborhood felt safe walking around at night, and there's actually some decent dining within a few blocks if you don't want to venture too far. Sure, it's not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but sometimes you just want a place that feels authentic and doesn't nickel-and-dime you for everything. The whole experience just felt... honest, I guess? Like they put thought into creating something special rather than just filling rooms.

Great location, central but quiet. Friendly staff, fantastic value for money.
A very pleasant, quiet environment. Very nice hospitality, and I enjoyed the breakfast.
The location and the staff members - reasonable prices
Top location, nice deco in nice reserved old building
This is a very nice, older style hotel with a modern flair located on the third floor of an historic, renovated building in the heart of the Schöneberg district. It has a great location with many excellent restaurants and bars located nearby. KaDeWe shopping area is a 5 minute walk as are two different subway stations. The hotel is very tastefully decorated, has an elevator and the staff are excellent and very helpful. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced, parking is available if you call ahead and also well priced. It is very LBGTQ+ friendly and welcoming of all styles, peoples and pairings. Which is excellent.
Everything was perfect. The breakfast is tasty and with all you need to have a good start of your day. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Location and decor
Been using this hotel for over 15 years, and have had the pleasure of experiencing several of their unique rooms. Never had any reason to criticise or complain about anything.
Staff is super friendly and happy to help. Location is great and the hotel is located in a charming and quintessential old world Berlin building.
Great hotel, unexpectedly clean, big and quiet rooms
