B&B Hotel Berlin-Charlottenburg
About
You know what really surprised me about B&B Hotel Berlin-Charlottenburg? It's one of those places that just gets the basics completely right without trying to be something it's not. I mean, when you're walking down Kaiserdamm – which, honestly, isn't the most charming street in Berlin with all that traffic – you might wonder what you've gotten yourself into. But once you're inside, there's this immediate sense of "okay, these people know what they're doing."
The location is actually pretty clever if you think about it. Sure, you're not in Mitte where every tourist wants to be, but Charlottenburg has this lived-in feel that I really appreciate. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is maybe a 15-minute walk, and there's this fantastic Turkish bakery just around the corner on Kantstraße that locals line up at every morning – the kind of spot you'd never find if you were staying in some sterile hotel district. Plus, the U-Bahn connection at Kaiserdamm station means you can get anywhere in the city without thinking twice about it. I stayed here during a particularly rainy October (because, Berlin in October, right?) and never felt stranded.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to anticipate the small things that can make or break a stay. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no lengthy explanations of facilities I could figure out myself. The rooms are what you'd expect from a solid 3-star place, but the beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-comfortable. The shower has proper water pressure, which honestly shouldn't be noteworthy but somehow always is. And the soundproofing is better than you'd expect given that busy street outside – I'm someone who wakes up if a neighbor sneezes, but I slept through the night here. The breakfast situation is pretty decent too, nothing fancy but they had real coffee and bread that didn't taste like cardboard, which puts them ahead of half the places I've stayed in this city. One small thing that stuck with me: there's this quiet courtyard view from some of the back rooms that makes you forget you're on a major thoroughfare. If you're booking, it's worth asking for one of those – the street-facing rooms aren't terrible, but why not have a bit of peace if you can get it?
Visitors often choose Berlin apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent German capital.

Superb
Breakfast and location to Metro station
Happy client
The rooms were quite tidy and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast a good variety Easy check-in. Was glad to know that the hotel was expecting me even despite my late check-in.
I would have liked some scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. The carpet in the room didn't feel well cleaned and dried. Some coffee or tea station in the room would be a kind gesture, although there is a coffee vending machine on the 1st floor. There were enough toiletries. However, on the second day, after a change, we got only one towel.
Good value for money, very friendly staff and solid comfort
The staff was very friendly, the rooms spacious and clean. The location worked great for my business trip purpose. I'd stay there again.
The breakfast could definitely use more variety. It's not that it's bad and you can definitely find something to meet your taste, but the selection is the same every day and there's no variety. A few different types of eggs could go a long way in my book. :)
Good
The room, the parking, the location.
The breakfast. Even the eggs are only boiled.
Very good
Room with 3 single beds, location, subway station proximity, parking spot (additionally payed), overall price to value
- There was no electric kettle and fridge in the room - I lost one AirPod bud in the hotel room, and staff wasn't able to find it (but it's mainly on me)
Very good
Central convinient location
A really warm welcome and a comfy room - would stay here again.
Staff were friendly, check in was easy. The room was small but comfortable and had everything I needed. It was quiet and warm and I had a good night's sleep. Staff allowed me to store my bag downstairs on my last day and I used the reception to work a little. I would stay here again. The area around the hotel felt safe. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and takeaways.
The location is a bit far out (but it's a really nice walk into central Berlin if you have the time). The room is objectively expensive but then so is every room in Berlin.
Exceptional, combining comfort and great service.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was warm and welcoming and friendly. we can't wait to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable gateway.
The only suggestion I have is to consider adding a phone in the room, as I found myself going back and forth to the reception to ask a few questions.
Superb
The location is just right beside the U-bahn. It’s also walkable to nice old buildings like the police station in front and Charlottenburg Palace.
Ok for 2 nights visiting the city
Very small room but clean, warm, ok for 2 stars, very close to subway station; small but nice bathroom fully equiped
Small beds, but comfortable, very small place for 3 beds, but if you visit all day and don-t stay in the room too much is ok
