Berlin City Apartments
About
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Berlin City Apartments on Dietzgenstraße, I'll be honest — it's not the flashiest building you'll see in Berlin. But that's actually part of its charm. This three-star property sits quietly in the Pankow district, and there's something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The fact that there's free parking right on site immediately caught my attention — anyone who's tried to park in Berlin knows what a game-changer that is. The building's understated exterior masks comfortable interiors that provide everything modern travelers need for an extended stay in Germany's capital city.
The Pankow Advantage
You know what I love about staying in Pankow? It feels like real Berlin, not tourist Berlin. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality where you'll find actual Berliners going about their daily routines. There are solid bakeries within walking distance, and the S-Bahn connections are honestly better than you'd expect. I mean, you're not in Mitte, but that also means you're not paying Mitte prices or dealing with Mitte crowds. The location rating of 8.1 from recent guests makes total sense once you spend a day or two here. Local cafes and shops create an authentic atmosphere that many visitors find more appealing than sterile tourist zones.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here gives you that "temporary local" feeling rather than the typical hotel experience. The spaces are practical — think clean lines, functional furniture, and everything you actually need without unnecessary frills. My room had a small kitchenette that was perfect for making morning coffee and storing groceries from the nearby shops. The setup works particularly well for couples, which explains why so many pairs rate this place highly for romantic getaways. Large windows bring in natural light while maintaining privacy from the quiet residential street below.
What Actually Matters
Here's the thing about Berlin City Apartments — it delivers on the basics really well. The Wi-Fi works consistently, the heating keeps you warm during those brutal Berlin winters, and the staff responds quickly when you need something. I've stayed at fancier places in the city that couldn't manage those fundamentals. The building is quiet enough that you'll actually sleep well, but you're still close enough to the action when you want it. This property offers genuine comfort without pretension. Clean bathrooms, reliable hot water, and thoughtful touches make each stay memorable for the right reasons.
Why Guests Love It
The 7.3 rating tells the real story here — this is about solid value and genuine comfort for travelers seeking an authentic Berlin experience. Couples especially seem to appreciate having their own space to retreat to after long days exploring the city. The free parking alone saves you at least 15-20 euros per day, and honestly, not having to worry about where to leave your car in Berlin is worth its weight in gold. It's the kind of place where you feel settled rather than just passing through. The restaurant options nearby provide excellent dining without leaving the neighborhood. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this property delivers consistent quality that keeps guests returning year after year.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent, the tram stop is only a few minutes away from the apartment. The host was very nice and friendly. The apartment had everything we needed. Overall, we can highly recommend this place!
Clean and nice appartment. Very close to busses and tram to the city centre.
The apartment was very close to M1 tram stop and it took us about 30ish minutes to get into downtown Berlin. There is an ALDI grocery less than a block away as well which was nice. The unit was equipped adequately. It was pretty warm when we were visiting and the apartment stayed a little warm and humid inside. Three of us stayed and there was enough room for us all with our son sleeping on the sofa bed. The kitchen was good, everything was just pretty well-used. There was definitely a “patina” on many areas of the apartment. It was clean though; just well-used.
Nice place, nice host
The flat had everything we needed, it was clean
The apartment is clean and cozy. The host is friendly and helpful.
The house is a basement and was good enough for 3 pax. It was really clean, the towels smelled good. It has all the basic stuff you need. Location was okay, about 25 minutes from downtown. Quiet neighborhood, it has a Lidl nearby.
Nice apartment with enough cooking utensils. The location is very good to get into Berlin. Quiet and nice neighborhood
The location was convenient for us. Close to a supermarket, a tram stop, two Italian restaurants and a cafe. One of the people I spoke to (Coskun) was very nice. I think he's from the cleaning team.
Cozy apartment in semi-basement level, clean and comfy. Good location, friendly host, equipped kitchen.
