Best Western Plus Plaza Berlin Kurfürstendamm
About
So here's the thing about the Best Western Plus Plaza Berlin Kurfürstendamm – it's one of those places that actually delivers on what it promises, which honestly isn't something you can say about every hotel chain property. I mean, you know how it is with Best Western, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes... well, let's just say this one falls into the lucky category.
The location is pretty solid if you want to be right in the thick of things on Ku'damm (that's what locals call Kurfürstendamm, and you'll sound like a tourist if you say the whole name). You're literally steps away from all that shopping chaos – KaDeWe department store is close enough that you'll probably end up there multiple times, and the whole strip of cafés and boutiques basically starts at your doorstep. What I really appreciated though was how they managed to keep the rooms surprisingly quiet despite being on one of Berlin's busiest streets. The windows must be decent quality because you're not going to be kept awake by the late-night tram rumbling by – though you'll definitely hear it if you open them up for some fresh air.
The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many hotel employees just shrug when you ask about anything beyond the tourist traps. They pointed me toward this little Turkish place around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and honestly gave better restaurant recommendations than half the travel blogs I'd read. The rooms themselves are what you'd expect from a solid 4-star – nothing that'll blow your mind, but everything works and it's clean. The shower pressure is actually pretty good (always a gamble in older European buildings), and the beds are comfortable enough that I wasn't thinking about my back in the morning. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or anything sketchy.
You know what really won me over though? The breakfast setup. It's not some sad continental spread with stale pastries – they've got proper German breads, decent coffee, and enough variety that you're not bored by day three. Plus the breakfast room has these big windows where you can people-watch on Ku'damm while you're eating, which is honestly better entertainment than most hotel TVs. The whole place just feels... reliable, I guess? Like they've figured out how to run a hotel without any major drama. Sure, it's not the fanciest place in Berlin, and that 7.8 rating feels about right – it's not perfect but it's definitely above average. If you want to be in Charlottenburg with easy access to both the shopping district and decent public transport connections to the rest of the city, this place makes sense. Just don't expect to be wowed – expect to be satisfied, which might actually be better.

Everything was clean. The location is also perfect. It was easy to find a restaurant and any related things nearby. We loved it.

We enjoyed our time in your hotel, as the location was excellent, surrounded with beautiful views and shops. We the environment was very friendly and welcoming, the staff was always polite
The location was perfect. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The X10 bus zooms up and down Ku'damm to and from Zoologischergarten every 10 mins or so, and from there you can hop the S-Bahn or U-Bahn to Mitte, or transfer to the 100 Bus
