You can walk to Museum Island in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you're taking your time, and there are some genuinely good local spots nearby that aren't just tourist traps. I found this great little coffee place around the corner that the front desk mentioned – not one of those chains, but the kind of spot where locals actually hang out in the mornings. The whole area has that perfect balance where you feel connected to the city but can still get some peace when you need it. Parking's a bit of a pain (welcome to Berlin), but the public transport connections are solid, and honestly, you'll probably end up walking or biking most places anyway. For what you get – that 4-star experience without the stuffiness, solid location, and staff who seem to actually know the neighborhood – the 8.6 rating makes complete sense.
