Damaschke Apartment 2 Kurfürstendamm
About
You know what caught me off guard about Damaschke Apartment 2? It's tucked away on this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, but you're literally a three-minute walk from all the Ku'damm chaos. I mean, Damaschkestraße feels like proper Berlin living - tree-lined, peaceful, with those classic Charlottenburg buildings that somehow survived everything this city's been through.
The apartment itself is honestly better than most hotels I've stayed in around here. It's got that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The space actually breathes - none of that cramped Berlin apartment nonsense where you're bumping into furniture every two steps. What really won me over was the attention to small stuff: proper blackout curtains (trust me, Berlin summers are bright until like 10 PM), a kitchen that's not just for show, and - this is huge - decent water pressure in the shower. The whole setup feels like someone's stylish friend let you crash at their place, not some corporate rental situation.
Location-wise, you're in this sweet spot that locals know about but tourists miss. Olivaer Platz is right there with that little market on Saturdays, and if you head toward Ku'damm, you'll hit all the department stores and tourist stuff within minutes. But here's the thing - walk the other direction toward Uhlandstraße and you'll find these little cafés and wine bars that feel completely different from the touristy Ku'damm scene. The U-Bahn connections are solid too; Uhlandstraße station gets you anywhere in the city without the transfer headaches. Parking's actually manageable on the side streets if you're driving, which is rare for this part of Berlin. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me - it's not perfect (the building's elevator is a bit temperamental, and street parking can get competitive during events at the nearby venues), but it delivers on what matters. You get that authentic Berlin neighborhood feeling while staying close enough to everything that you won't spend half your day on public transport.
Apartments in Berlin provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned German culinary traditions.

Clean and chic
Very clean and nice interior, nice little kitchen, good fridge and freezer, has hairdryer and the cotton buds actually was very nice as I had forgotten mine. There was vacuum cleaner too if needed but we never used.
A little cramped when trying to all eat at the one table, no living room. Also mattress on double bed was loosely joined and kept drifting apart. Kitchen utensils too small for 7 people too.
Very good
