About

First Impressions

Walking up to Dilo Apartments – Akazien Residenz Apartment & Akazien Apartment Superior Berlin 160 sqm on Hauptstraße, you immediately get that "this feels right" vibe. It's one of those places where the building itself tells you they've put thought into every detail — not flashy, but clearly well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The entrance has this understated elegance that hints at what's waiting upstairs, and honestly, that first impression sets the tone perfectly for what turns out to be a really solid stay.

Location & Neighborhood

Tempelhof-Schöneberg is one of those Berlin neighborhoods that locals actually live in, you know? You're not stuck in some touristy bubble here — this is real Berlin life happening around you. The area has this great mix of cafes, local shops, and tree-lined streets that make you want to just wander around. What I really appreciated is how easy it is to get into the city center when you want to, but you can also just hang out in the neighborhood and feel like you're experiencing authentic Berlin. The recent guest rating of 8.7 for location makes total sense once you're here.

The Apartment Experience

This is where things get interesting — we're talking about a proper 160 square meter space, which is genuinely spacious by European standards. The apartment feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room, and that makes all the difference when you're staying for more than just a night or two. The kitchen is actually functional (not just for show), which means you can grab groceries from the local markets and cook if you want to. I mean, the four-star rating really shows in the attention to detail — everything from the lighting to the furniture placement feels intentional and comfortable.

Why Couples Choose This Place

There's something about having all that space that just changes the dynamic of a trip. You're not cramped into a tiny hotel room where you're constantly bumping into each other's stuff. The separate living areas mean you can actually spread out, maybe one person can read while the other watches TV, or you can just enjoy having room to breathe. The fact that couples rate this place so highly makes perfect sense — it's got that romantic, "let's play house in Berlin" feeling without being overly precious about it. Plus, having your own space means you can be as social or as private as you want to be.

Why Guests Love It

What really strikes me about this place is how it manages to feel both special and practical at the same time. You get the space and amenities that make a longer stay actually enjoyable, but you're also in a neighborhood where you can live like a local for a few days. The 8.9 rating reflects what you experience here — it's not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what it promises and does it really well. When you're looking for somewhere in Berlin that gives you room to actually relax and settle in, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

the location is very good. we hopped off train in Sudkreuz which is walking distance from the place. when S-bahn drivers were on strike, the busses are frequent and take you to the center in no time. Habibi falafel around the corner on Akazienstrasse was a delight
