Flower’s Berlin by limehome – Digital Access
About
Honestly, when I first heard "limehome," I thought it might be some quirky hostel situation, but Flower's Berlin actually surprised me in the best way. It's one of those modern aparthotel concepts that's becoming huge in Berlin – you get your own space with a kitchenette, but without the hassle of dealing with random Airbnb hosts or worrying about key handovers. The digital access thing is pretty slick too; you just get a code sent to your phone and walk right in. No awkward lobby conversations when you roll in at midnight.
The location – well, they don't give you the exact address upfront, which is a bit odd, but once you're there you realize why this setup works so well in Berlin. The city's public transport is incredible, so being slightly off the main tourist drag actually means you're paying less while still being connected to everything. I mean, you're probably a short S-Bahn ride from Mitte or Kreuzberg anyway, and you get to experience Berlin like locals do – grabbing coffee from the späti downstairs, walking past actual neighborhoods instead of tourist traps. The 8.4 rating makes total sense once you settle in; it's not luxury, but it's smart and functional in that distinctly German way.
What I really appreciated was having that little kitchen setup. Berlin's food scene is amazing, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you just want to grab some incredible bread from a local bakery (trust me, even the random neighborhood ones will blow your mind) and make your own breakfast without spending 15 euros on hotel coffee. Plus, if you're staying for more than a couple nights – which you should, because Berlin keeps revealing new layers – having space to spread out makes such a difference. The whole limehome concept strips away the stuff you don't really need (fancy lobby, overpriced room service) and focuses on giving you a clean, comfortable base. It's honestly refreshing after staying in so many cookie-cutter chain hotels. You know what? For a 3-star place, it punches above its weight because it understands what travelers actually want: independence, reasonable prices, and a genuine feel for the city you're visiting.

It was clean and in a good location.
Excellent location and nice room and kitchenette. Bedroom was also nice.
- Very good location, 15min walk to Alexander platz, 5min walk to nearest U-bahn station. Nearby variety of small coffe shops and restaurants. We were on the 4th floor and could see TV tower from Alexander's platz. There's also close Q-Park(15min walk), which you can book in advance to arrange underground car park for longer stay. - Super clean apartment (our was 2 bedroom, #405), spotless, with everything one may need like kettle, toaster, microweave, dishwasher, coffe machine for nespresso capsules, iron & ironing board, plenty of towels. Living room bed was already made for us so we did not have to figure out how to open the sofa for sleeping. The other bedroom much smaller of course, but also nice with decent size comfy bed. In the main corridor quite big closet to hang coats. Overall good amount of space.
Apartment was clean, coffee and tea was provided and the location is close to most tourist attractions
