The staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right, not just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth, they spoke decent English, and they actually gave useful local tips instead of just handing over a generic city map. One thing that surprised me – parking here is actually manageable, which if you've ever driven in central Berlin, you know is basically a miracle.

You know what really sold me on this place though? It's got that authentic Berlin neighborhood vibe without the pretension. There's a decent bakery about a five-minute walk away where locals actually go (not some tourist trap), and the whole area feels like where people actually live and work. The U-Bahn connections are better than you'd think – Marzahn isn't exactly Alexanderplatz, but you can get into the center without too much hassle. The 4-star rating feels honest here, not inflated. It's comfortable, clean, well-run, but not trying to be something it's not. I'd definitely stay again, especially since the price point makes way more sense than those hotels in Mitte where you're paying extra just for the postal code. If you're the type of traveler who wants to see how Berlin actually works beyond the Brandenburg Gate and currywurst stands, this is a solid base.
