Holiday at Alexanderplatz Apartments
About
You know what caught me off guard about Holiday at Alexanderplatz Apartments? It actually feels like staying in someone's well-appointed Berlin flat rather than a typical hotel – which, honestly, is exactly what you want when you're planning to stick around for more than a couple nights. The apartments are tucked right in the heart of Mitte, and I mean *right* in the action. You're literally steps from Alexanderplatz (hence the name), but somehow the building manages to stay relatively quiet, probably because it's set back just enough from the main tourist chaos.
The setup is pretty clever – these are proper apartments with kitchens that actually work, not those sad hotel kitchenettes with a mini-fridge and a prayer. I spent a good chunk of my mornings making coffee and planning my day from the living room, watching Berliners hurry past with their perfectly practical backpacks. The furnishing hits that sweet spot between IKEA-functional and actually stylish – think clean lines, decent lighting, and thank god, blackout curtains that actually block out those ridiculously long summer days. The WiFi doesn't mess around either, which matters if you're trying to work remotely or just want to video call home without looking pixelated.
What I really appreciated was how the staff handled things – check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no hovering or overselling activities I had zero interest in. They gave me the local intel that actually mattered: which U-Bahn entrance to use (Alexanderplatz station can be a maze), where to grab groceries without tourist markup (there's a decent Rewe just a few blocks down), and honestly, their restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The building itself has this quiet efficiency about it – elevators that work, hallways that don't echo every conversation, the kind of details that make a difference when you're staying somewhere for a week rather than just passing through. I'll be real though, if you're expecting a concierge to arrange your entire itinerary or turn-down service with chocolates, this isn't that kind of place. But if you want a clean, comfortable base where you can actually live a bit while exploring Berlin – spreading out your maps on a proper table, storing leftovers from that amazing currywurst place, having space to decompress after walking your feet off at Museum Island – then this works really well. The location alone saves you so much time and transport money, and there's something satisfying about feeling like a temporary local rather than just another tourist checking boxes.

The location of the apartment is perfect. It is right in the center of the city, subway, flixbus stop, and other public transport stops are just in 200 meters. The apartment itself is clean, with all the facilities that one might need during the stay. Will for sure stay there next time
Location
We had a small problem in a window and it was solved immediately in the next day. Great support
Location, edge of Alexander Platz, Vey clean, has small balcony too.
Worked well
The location was fabulous right in the centre of Alexanderplatz. The space of the apartment was great. The amenities in the kitchen and bathroom was great. Couldn’t complain about the comfort of the bed or sofa. The apartment block was nice and quiet whilst we stayed there for a few days.
Excellent location. Staff very responsive. Cleanliness. Size is quite ok for 3 people, maybe 4. Has everything to enjoy a long weekend stay.
location, very clean and modern apartment
Spacious apartment with a very well equipped kitchen, walking distance of Alexander Platz. Responsive host that was easy to reach, even on a Friday night. We initially got an apartment that was quite different from what we had booked (4 separate beds, no couch, instead of a large double bed with a couch). They switched us to a different room the next morning, which all went very smoothly. Good service, and the 'new' room was exactly as described on Booking.
Good size apartment, twin beds in living room, along with proper dining table. Well equipped kitchen Excellent take away pizza just below apartment so very convenient. Good location. 5 minutes from tram and station.
