Hotel AMANO Rooms & Apartments
About
You know what struck me first about Hotel AMANO? It's got this effortless cool factor that doesn't try too hard – which honestly is rare for a 3-star place. The moment you walk into the lobby, there's this modern industrial vibe going on with exposed concrete and sleek furniture, but it somehow feels warm rather than cold. I mean, you can tell they put thought into the design without making it feel like a museum.
The rooms themselves are surprisingly well thought out. Nothing huge, but they've maximized every inch in a smart way that actually works. The beds are proper comfortable – not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in European hotels – and the lighting is spot on. You've got good reading lights by the bed (thank god) and the bathrooms are compact but functional with decent water pressure. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing; even when there were groups checking in late, I barely heard anything from the hallway. The apartment-style rooms are where this place really shines though – if you're staying more than a couple nights, having that little kitchenette makes such a difference. Not just for saving money on breakfast, but honestly, sometimes you just want to make your own coffee at 6 AM without getting dressed.
Here's the thing about AMANO – it sits in that sweet spot where it's stylish enough that you feel good about staying there, but relaxed enough that you're not worried about dripping gelato on the lobby furniture. The staff actually seem to know what they're doing too, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how often that's not the case. Check-in was smooth, they had solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren't just the obvious tourist traps, and when I had questions about getting around, they gave me the kind of local intel that saved me time and money. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what it promises and then some. If you want somewhere that feels contemporary and comfortable without the pretension (or the price tag) of a luxury hotel, this is your spot. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the whole place just has good energy – like the kind of hotel where you'd actually want to hang out in the common areas rather than hide in your room.

Amazing location, clean rooms, very friendly staff! Overall highly recommend!!
Great location. Nice room, little coffee machine, bath. Nice size, well formed not too small. They like you to use tech to check in and out, but that was really the only thing that wasn’t perfect. Would high recommend.
