icke.apartments
About
You know what? icke.apartments surprised me. I'll be honest – when I first pulled up to this place, I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star spot. But sometimes those assumptions bite you in the ass, and this was one of those times.
The thing about icke.apartments is that it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it's not. The rooms are actually pretty spacious – I mean, you're not going to mistake it for a luxury suite, but there's enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling like you're living in a shoebox. The kitchen setup is what really sold me though. It's not just some sad little kitchenette with a broken microwave; they've got proper appliances that actually work, decent counter space, and – this is key – good lighting so you're not chopping vegetables in some cave-like atmosphere. I ended up cooking way more than I planned because, honestly, it was just pleasant to be in there.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night. Look, I've stayed in enough apartment-style places where you hear every conversation, every footstep, every late-night Netflix binge from the neighbors. Here? Not so much. The walls seem solid enough, and either I got lucky with quiet neighbors or the sound insulation is better than you'd expect. The WiFi actually works too – I know that sounds basic, but you'd be amazed how many places still can't get that right. I was streaming, working, video calling family back home, no issues.
The 7.0 rating feels about right, actually. It's not going to blow your mind, but it's not going to disappoint you either. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly chatty or weirdly formal – just that sweet spot of helpful when you need them, invisible when you don't. Check-in was straightforward, none of that "here's seventeen different cards and a novel about hotel policies" nonsense. They give you the key, tell you where the elevator is, and let you get on with your life.
I did notice the building itself has that lived-in feel – not run-down, just... established. The hallways have character, let's say. And honestly? I kind of liked that. It felt more like staying in an actual neighborhood than some sterile hotel bubble. You get a sense of the place, hear some local life happening around you. For some people that might be a turnoff, but if you're trying to get a feel for how people actually live somewhere, it works.
The value proposition here is solid. You're not paying luxury prices, and you're not getting luxury amenities, but what you are getting is clean, functional space with enough personality to keep it interesting. If you need a place to actually live for a few days rather than just crash between tourist activities, icke.apartments delivers on that front. It's the kind of place I'd book again without hesitation – not because it's perfect, but because it's honest about what it is.

The apartment was fine. It was okay for the price we paid. Thanks for having us 😊 If you have a quick trip and do not want to pay much for the accommodation, it is a good option.

Bed was comfortable, room size was good. Neighborhood was nice with many restaurants and a beautiful park. Near to Berlin central Bus Station. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
