Mercure Hotel MOA Berlin
About
You know what struck me first about the Mercure MOA Berlin? The name itself – MOA stands for "Museum of Archaeology" and honestly, that gives you a pretty good hint about what you're getting into here. This isn't your typical glass-and-chrome business hotel. The building has this sort of understated, almost academic feel to it that actually works really well if you're not looking for flashy.
I mean, with an 8.3 rating, you'd expect something solid, and that's exactly what this place delivers. The rooms are what I'd call confidently comfortable – nothing revolutionary, but everything just works the way it should. The beds are proper firm (which I appreciate after walking around Berlin all day), and the bathrooms actually have decent water pressure, which... well, anyone who's stayed in converted buildings in German cities knows that's not always a given. The staff genuinely seem to know their stuff too, not just reciting scripts. When I asked about getting to Alexanderplatz without dealing with tourist crowds, the front desk guy gave me this whole route using the S-Bahn that probably saved me 20 minutes each way.
What really sold me on this place though – and this might sound weird – was how quiet it gets at night. Berlin can be... energetic, let's say, but somehow the MOA sits in this sweet spot where you're close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the late-night chaos that you can actually sleep. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you'll see actual Berliners grabbing coffee in the morning, not just tourists with guidebooks. There's this little bakery about two blocks away that does these incredible Berliner donuts (yes, I know, eating Berliners in Berlin), and the hotel staff actually recommended it – which tells you they're paying attention to their surroundings, not just existing in a hotel bubble. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that drawn-out welcome presentation nonsense. They had my key ready, explained the WiFi situation (which is solid throughout the building, by the way), and sent me on my way in about three minutes.

Comfortable and high standard well presented with friendly staff. Good gym too.
nice claen room, big size, close to the underground station
It had a modern feel. It has a supermarket below it and a few restaurants nearby. Rooms a good size and facilities were good.
Very nice hotel for a stay in Berlin. Location in an office building makes it a bit “raw” however overall a good place to stay. Supermarket on the ground floor makes it very comfortable if you need to buy something, and a metro station is very closeby. Very good breakfast too, however quite expensive (25€ per person)
I really appreciated the city view from the room and how fast and efficient the check-in and check-out process was. The location was also a big plus, with plenty of cafes, a shopping mall, and public transport stops just a short walk away.
The staff was professional
Beautiful room, very clean.
