Nikol Apartments
About
I'll be honest – when I first pulled up to Nikol Apartments on Loschmidtstraße, I wasn't expecting much from the quiet residential street. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are tucked away where you least expect them, and this little gem in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf totally proved that point.
The thing about this place is that it actually feels like staying in a real Berlin neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. You're literally a five-minute walk from Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station, which means you can hop on the U4 and be at Alexanderplatz in like fifteen minutes – but honestly, you might not want to leave the area that quickly. There's this amazing Turkish bakery just around the corner that does these incredible börek pastries (trust me on this one), and if you head toward Winterfeldtplatz, you'll hit one of Berlin's best Saturday markets. The apartments themselves are exactly what you'd expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, with that slightly minimalist German aesthetic that somehow makes everything feel more spacious than it actually is. I mean, we're not talking luxury here, but the kitchenettes are properly equipped (not just a hot plate and a prayer), and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I've stayed.
What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night – and I say this as someone who's stayed in plenty of Berlin apartments where the street noise can drive you absolutely insane. Loschmidtstraße is residential enough that you're not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM, but you're still close enough to Schöneberg's bar scene that you can walk home after a night out without paying surge pricing for an Uber. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward "meet me at a random café with your passport" situation you sometimes get with Berlin apartment rentals. One small thing worth mentioning: if you're planning to drive, street parking can be a bit of a hunt during weekdays (it's that whole Berlin residential permit zone thing), but honestly, you probably won't need a car anyway. The 8.3 rating this place has makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be something it's not, but it delivers on the basics really well, and the location gives you that authentic Berlin living experience without being completely cut off from everything you want to see and do.

The apartment is in a quiet residential area! a few minutes on foot or by public transport and you reach the main places
It has everything needed to host a family.
The mattres and bed linen
Very good
The host was very kind and helpful. The flat was clean and equipped with all the essential things. The kitchenware met our needs. Great location, not so far from two different U-Bahn lines, and easy parking if you are lucky. We spent a nice week in Berlin.
The fold-out couch is less comfortable for two adults. There is nothing more to complain.
Very good
The Host was very warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenware met our needs. The location was great.
Neighbors kept smoking in the balcony, which was irritating for my family. Car parking was not always easy.
Very good

A very happy stay 😊😊
It had all we needed. We visited Berlin to meet up with our daughter who study, we took our family dog with us Harri, who welcomed us was very sweet to accommodate us but our dog too by placing a towel in the kitchen for her food bowels. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had all we needed to prepare simple meals. The heating worked very well.
There was nothing we did not like
very cute appartment
I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay and the host was very responsive. It looked better in real life than in the photos. The apartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood and has a balcony in a very cute backyard. The kitchen was very comfortable and had all the supplies I needed. I also liked the style of the apartment a lot; it has a soul.
