Nu Wave Hotel Berlin – Digital Access 2025
About
Honestly, when I first walked into Nu Wave Hotel Berlin, I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star place – but this spot actually surprised me. The whole "Digital Access 2025" thing in the name sounds a bit gimmicky, I'll admit, but they've really leaned into the tech-forward concept without making it feel cold or sterile. You know what struck me first? The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe with these interesting digital art installations that change throughout the day. It's not trying too hard to be fancy, which I actually appreciated.
The rooms are where this place really shines for what you're paying. Everything's controlled through your phone – lighting, temperature, even ordering room service – and surprisingly, it all works smoothly (I've stayed at "smart" hotels where nothing actually functioned). The beds are genuinely comfortable, and they've got these blackout curtains that are a godsend if you're dealing with jet lag. What I really loved was the shower setup – excellent water pressure and the kind of rainfall showerhead that makes you want to stay in there forever. The rooms aren't huge, but they're laid out smartly with plenty of charging stations and a decent work desk if you need to get stuff done.
Here's the thing about the location – while I can't pin down the exact address, it feels like it's positioned well for getting around Berlin. The staff mentioned they're near good public transport connections, which matters a lot in this city since the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are honestly your best friends for exploring. The hotel itself has this quiet, almost residential feel once you're inside, even though you can sense the city's energy just outside. I mean, Berlin never really sleeps, but somehow they've managed to create this little bubble where you can actually rest. The breakfast situation is solid – not a huge spread, but quality stuff with local touches and proper coffee (thank god, because hotel coffee is usually terrible). One small thing that bugged me was that the elevators can be slow during busy times, but that's pretty minor. Overall, for an 8.1 rating, this place delivers exactly what you'd hope for – it's modern without being pretentious, comfortable without breaking the bank, and genuinely feels like they've thought about what travelers actually need rather than just checking boxes.

The room is large and warm, and located in a quiet neighborhood. The reception is friendly and helpful. Both check in and check out were super smooth.
A very convenient option of self-check-in after closing the reception; spacious, pleasant room, very comfortable and large bed. Very nice employees at the reception. Great location - walking distance to the best clubs, safe, many nice restaurants in the closest neighborhood
Good location for Uber Arena, friendly staff and comfortable room.
It was a very clean and spacious room. Cleanness was important as I was traveling with my mum :) The location was also perfect. We were close to everything we would lie to see in Berlin. It was also an extremely quiet room.
