The apartment-style setup is really the key here – I mean, having a proper kitchen isn't just nice, it's actually liberating when you're in Berlin for more than a couple nights. You can hit up the local markets (there's usually one within walking distance, though I can't pin down the exact location from memory) and actually cook something instead of eating overpriced hotel breakfast every morning. The spaces feel lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. My unit had these great big windows that let in tons of light, and honestly, the soundproofing was better than I expected for Berlin – you know how thin walls can be in these older buildings. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters when you're trying to figure out the U-Bahn system or find decent späti hours.
What really sold me on the place was how it sits in the city – not right in the tourist chaos, but connected enough that you're not spending half your day getting anywhere interesting. The 8.1 rating makes total sense once you're there for a few days. It's not trying to be boutique-fancy or business-hotel efficient, it's just... practical in the best way. Check-in was straightforward, the building feels secure without being uptight, and there's something refreshing about having a place that treats you like a temporary local rather than a tourist passing through. I'd definitely book it again, especially for longer stays when you want to actually settle in rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons.

It‘s a very well equiped and nice apartment near public transport, supermarket and restaurants. The apartment itself has everything you might need (you can tell that they care and want to make your stay as easy as possible), rooms super big and with comfortable beds. We would recommend it 100%, especially for groups/families and longer stays.

The two bedrooms are huge and comfortably accommodated four people. The host sent very clear instructions to make sure we found the place and was very lovely in general.

Great location, easy parking, not a problem in May even with a camper van
Excellent location right near the U-Bahn station on lines 3 and 9. Groceries and restaurants close by. The beds and duvets were wonderful! The living space is a bit strange in that the kitchen is also the only living space, so the table is the only place to sit and watch TV or visit. The 2 bedroom unit is on the ground floor and overlooks the courtyard. Really large rooms and things were quiet-- no street noise at all.
