sly Berlin
About
You know what caught me off guard about Sly Berlin? The name made me expect some trendy, overly-designed place trying too hard to be cool, but honestly – this is just a really, really good hotel that happens to have serious style. I mean, it's got that 5-star polish you'd expect, but there's something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole experience.
The lobby hits you with this perfect balance of sleek and warm – lots of natural materials, but not in that sterile Scandinavian way that makes you feel like you can't touch anything. Check-in was smooth (they actually remember your name without constantly checking their screen), and the staff has this genuine helpfulness that you don't always get at high-end places. The rooms are where this place really shines though. Everything feels intentional but not fussy – the lighting actually works for both working and relaxing, the bed is one of those where you immediately start planning to stay in longer, and the bathroom... well, let's just say the rainfall shower situation is pretty spectacular. What I really appreciated were the small details: proper blackout curtains that actually block light, outlets exactly where you need them, and a minibar that doesn't make you feel robbed if you grab a water.
The location works really well if you want to feel connected to the city without being in the absolute chaos of tourist central. You can walk to some fantastic restaurants – there's this incredible Vietnamese place about five minutes away that locals actually go to, and you're close enough to the main sights without dealing with the constant foot traffic. Mornings are surprisingly quiet considering you're in Berlin, which is saying something. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you've stayed here – it's one of those places that just gets the fundamentals right while adding enough special touches to make you remember why you chose it over the more obvious options. I'd definitely book here again, which honestly isn't something I say about most hotels, even the expensive ones.

We loved the room, it was very spacious and clean. We worked during our stay and the room was well equipped with a desk and good wifi connection. While working away, we try to stick to our routines as at home, and the gym was perfectly equipped to do so. The sauna was spacious and very relaxing. Incredibly helpful and kind staff.
I really like the style of the Hotel and the very very friendly staff!!
Fabulous design & luxurious facilities- loved the sauna in particular!
Great, clean room. Amazing facilities and friendly staff. Absolutely loved it!
The room was spacious and nice. Breakfast was nice although pricey. Gluten free bread only available if inquired- dietary restriction products not displayed openly.
The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Stylish dining area in the large glass extension - quietly efficient and welcoming - but the rooms were sterile
Absolutely gorgeous. The sauna is excellent, the restaurant very beautiful and the rooms quite big and very clean.
Great hotel with amazing location and very friendly and professional staff.
I loved this hotel! It was super cute, but well sized for a european hotel. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. The bar was convenient and well stocked. Check in and out was easy, especially with the no check out needed portion. It was a bit outside of the city center, but it was within walking distance of two street cars, so transit was really easy. Edited to mention: I forgot to mention the bathroom! It was amazing! Huge, even! I loved it so much, I am using it as a model to renovate my own bathroom at home!!!
