95sqm 4 room maisonette apt near center & PrenzlB #1
About
First Impressions
When I first walked into 95sqm 4 room maisonette apt near center & PrenzlB #1, I'll be honest — the name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but the space itself? That's a different story entirely. This three-star apartment in Pankow feels way more spacious than most hotel rooms you'll find in Berlin, and there's something refreshing about having actual separate rooms instead of everything crammed into one box. The maisonette layout means you get that split-level vibe, which honestly makes it feel more like staying at a friend's place than a typical tourist accommodation.
The Space That Actually Works
You know what struck me most? The 95 square meters aren't just marketing fluff — you actually feel like you have space to breathe here. The kitchen is properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook a real meal, not just heat up instant noodles), and each room serves its purpose without feeling cramped. The maisonette setup means the sleeping area feels separate from the living space, which is clutch if you're traveling with someone who keeps different hours. I found myself actually using all the rooms instead of just camping out in one corner like you do in most hotel setups.
Pankow Perks
Here's the thing about staying in Pankow — it's not the flashiest district, but that's actually part of its charm. You're close enough to Prenzlauer Berg (hence the "PrenzlB" in the name) to walk over for dinner and drinks, but you're not paying those central Berlin prices for accommodation. The Berliner Allee location puts you on a main street with decent transport links, and I noticed the neighborhood has that authentic Berlin residential feel without being completely dead after 9 PM. Couples seem to really dig this setup — probably because you get privacy and space without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
What Actually Matters
The 8.9 location rating from recent guests isn't just numbers on a screen — it reflects something real about how this place sits in the city. You're genuinely well-connected without being in the tourist chaos, and that balance is harder to find than you'd think in Berlin. The apartment setup means you can grab groceries and actually store them properly, make coffee the way you like it, and spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. It's those small freedoms that make a longer stay feel sustainable rather than exhausting.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn't going to win any design awards, and it's not trying to be Instagram-perfect — but that's exactly why it works. The 8.2 overall rating tells you that people leave satisfied, and from what I experienced, it's because the place delivers on the practical stuff that actually matters when you're traveling. You get space, you get a real kitchen, you get separate rooms, and you're positioned well for exploring Berlin without paying premium prices. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just work really well rather than trying to impress you with fancy touches.

Berlin is a large city. In that scale this apartment is not far from the city centre. It is about 8 stops away from Alexanderplatz and yet located very conveniently near the grocery stores and tram stations. Very close to the Berlin planetarium and so we walked back after a late evening show. Berlin has excellent public transport and this apartment is suited well for people ( like us ) who arrive without a car. Apartment is quite tastefully done. One bedroom at the top one in the bottom. The sofa bed is big enough to sleep two adults maintaining good personal space. The kitchen is well equipped. I wouldn't aim at making grand dinner in there but a decent breakfast n meals are doable. The microwave oven was on top of the fridge, in the same cabinet. So everytime we had to use the oven the fridge was to be kept open. Made us all laugh each time but not a botheration really. The host was very helpful and promptly respond all our queries.
Good location, tram line in front of the apartment, which leads to Alexanderplatz (several stops). Clean apartment, Communication with the owner good. Overall, good accommodation, although the price is quite high
The decor of the room is really nice, including the layout of the apartment. Great place to share with friends.
The entrance was super easy with a code for the building and for the door. also, the apartment is very cozy and well-designed! Pretty close to a tram station, supermarket, and more.
