Storage Loft Apartment
About
You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment you step inside, you completely forget you're in what used to be a factory building. I mean, the address literally says "Fabrikgebaude" so you're expecting something industrial and cold, but the Storage Loft Apartment actually feels like someone's really cool friend converted their space and decided to share it with travelers.
The location on Sonnenallee is honestly perfect if you want to experience Berlin like locals do rather than bouncing between tourist traps. You're right in the heart of Neukölln – which, let's be real, has become the neighborhood where all the interesting stuff happens after Kreuzberg got too expensive. There's this fantastic Turkish bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and you'll find yourself walking past street art that changes every few weeks. The U-Bahn connection is solid too; you can get to Mitte in about 20 minutes, though honestly, you might find yourself wanting to stick around the neighborhood more than you planned.
What really works about this place is how they've handled the loft concept without making it feel like you're camping in a warehouse. The ceilings are high enough that it doesn't feel cramped, but they've created these cozy zones that actually make sense for how people live. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional – I've stayed in fancy hotels where you can't even make proper coffee, but here you can actually cook if you want to. The storage solutions (clever name choice, by the way) mean your stuff doesn't end up scattered everywhere, which is honestly a bigger deal than most people realize until they're living out of a suitcase for a week. Parking can be a bit of a hunt during busy times, but that's pretty much standard for this part of Berlin. The building itself is quiet considering you're on a main street – those old factory walls are thick, I guess. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that hotel lobby drama where you're standing around waiting while they "find your reservation." The 8.5 rating makes sense to me; it's not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers on what it promises and then some. You get the space and independence of an apartment with just enough hotel-like touches that you don't feel like you're crashing at someone's place uninvited.

Exceptional
Amazing flat, pictures don't do justice to how it is in person! Beautiful, unique, cozy place with everything you need including fully equipped kitchen and sound system. The host was available and accomodating throughout. Perfect place for a unique Berlin getaway in style. I can only recommend it! Location is also great, very central with lot of good restaurants and bars around.
