About

First Impressions

Walking up to Studio Apartment Berlin on Proskauer Straße, you immediately get that "local Berlin" vibe — this isn't some sterile hotel chain, but rather a thoughtfully converted building that feels like you're staying in someone's carefully curated apartment. The entrance has that understated charm you find throughout Friedrichshain, and honestly, that's exactly what drew me to this three-star gem in the first place. You know what strikes you right away? How quiet this street is despite being so close to everything that matters in Berlin.

The Friedrichshain Advantage

Here's the thing about this location — couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why. You're positioned perfectly between the trendy Boxhagener Platz (just a few minutes' walk) and the East Side Gallery, but without the tourist chaos that comes with staying right on the main drags. The neighborhood has this authentic Berlin energy where locals actually live and work, not just party. I mean, you can grab amazing coffee at Father Carpenter just around the corner, and the Sunday flea market at Boxhagener Platz becomes your weekend ritual. Plus, the U-Bahn connections are solid — Frankfurter Tor station gets you anywhere in the city without the hassle.

The Space Itself

The studio setup at Studio Apartment Berlin actually works better than you'd expect. It's not trying to be something it's not — instead, it maximizes every square meter with smart design choices that feel intentional rather than cramped. The kitchen area is surprisingly functional (I actually cooked a few meals there), and the sleeping area feels separate enough that it doesn't feel like you're living in one big room. What I appreciated most was how they've managed to create distinct zones within the space, so you can spread out your stuff without everything feeling cluttered.

Daily Life and Practicalities

Living here for a few days, you start to appreciate the small details that make a difference. The Wi-Fi actually works well (crucial for anyone working remotely), and the building stays quiet even on weekends when the neighborhood gets lively. There's a decent grocery store within walking distance, and honestly, having that little kitchen means you can grab fresh bread and local cheese for breakfast instead of hunting for overpriced hotel food. The whole setup encourages you to live like a local rather than just pass through as a tourist.

Why Guests Love It

That 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you've stayed here — it's the kind of place that exceeds expectations by focusing on what actually matters to travelers. You get the independence of your own space, the charm of staying in one of Berlin's most authentic neighborhoods, and the peace of mind that comes with a well-managed property. Recent guests consistently mention the location, and I get it — you're close enough to walk to the cool stuff in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, but far enough from the main tourist areas that you feel like you've discovered something special. It's particularly perfect for couples who want to experience Berlin like locals rather than just check off the major sights.

Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Berlin through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city's rich historical heritage.

Super cean, stylish, eye for detail. Great kitchen with all you need, nice bathroom, great dining table and a small one in the kitchen. Bed was good, enough power outlets etc. All well done. . Located in nice quiet part of Friedrichshain, tram close by so is REWE. Restaurants and S-Bahn also easily within reach. Very comfortable and totally worth it. Would come again.

Once again, I booked this flat in Berlin for my mother, and she loved it just as much as the first time! The apartment is cozy, well-maintained, and in a fantastic location, making it perfect for her visits. Communication with the host was smooth and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was effortless. It's always a pleasure booking this place — highly recommended!
