The name literally means "studio in the old factory," and they actually mean it – this place has that raw, converted industrial feel that somehow works perfectly in Lichtenberg. I'll be honest, when I first heard the address was on Mittelstraße, I wasn't expecting much (the street name basically translates to "Middle Street," which sounds pretty boring), but this little corner of Berlin surprised me.
The building itself tells a story – you can see the industrial bones in the high ceilings and exposed elements, but they've softened it just enough to feel welcoming rather than stark. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which is saying something for Berlin. Lichtenberg isn't exactly the tourist epicenter, and that's actually part of its charm. You're close enough to hop on the S-Bahn and be in Mitte or Friedrichshain in about 20 minutes, but you get to experience a more residential side of the city. There's this great little bakery just down the street that locals line up at every morning – the kind of place you'd never find in a guidebook but makes you feel like you're actually living somewhere rather than just visiting.
The studio setup works well if you're traveling solo or as a couple and don't need tons of space to spread out. I mean, it's not huge, but the layout feels thoughtful – like someone actually considered how you'd move around the space rather than just cramming in furniture. The 7.7 rating seems about right to me; it's solid without being spectacular, and honestly, that's exactly what you want sometimes. Check-in was straightforward, parking isn't a nightmare if you have a car (though you really don't need one here), and the whole experience just felt... authentic, I guess? Like staying in someone's well-designed apartment rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. The area comes alive during the day with people heading to work and kids walking to school, but evenings are peaceful – perfect if you want to decompress after spending your days navigating the more chaotic parts of Berlin.

Es war alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt. Sogar ein Milchaufschäumer, was mich so sehr gefreut hat. So gestrichen wie in meiner Wohnung farblich top. Superanbindung. Schön, dass man sein Auto direkt vor der Tür parken kann. Kurze Wege und es ist ruhig
Ich bin halt hingekommen, weil ich vier Tage in der Unterkunft sein musste, weil ich krank war. Und die Matratze ist halt eine absolute Katastrophe das ist das einzige was ich sagen muss, wofür ich tendenziell nur ein Stern geben würde, weil ich darauf angewiesen war die ganze Zeit zu liegen und ab dem ersten Moment, als ich saß, wusste ich, es ist ganz schwer auszuhalten. Sie ist dünn, wie ein topper kommt es mir lediglich vor, man spürt das ganze Gestell, es verschiebt sich alles, aber da ich selber Wohnung vermiete, gebe ich acht Sterne. Und hoffe die Matratze wird ausgebessert

Sengen var en sovesofa - med foldemadrasser og topmadras. Man lå i fordybninger. Billedet på Booking passer ikke. Fodenden hviler på gulvet.
Wenn wir mal wieder in Berlin eine Unterkunft benötigen, dann wieder die "Alte Fabrik".
Die Lage ist ruhig und auch mit den Öffentlichen gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück und keine Parkplatzprobleme.
Nicht gefallen hat uns das Wetter, aber ich glaube da läßt sich nicht viel machen.
