The Faces Berlin
About
You know what caught me off guard about The Faces Berlin? I was expecting another cookie-cutter boutique hotel, but this place actually has some personality. It sits on Friedrichsruher Straße in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf – and honestly, when I first saw the address, I thought I'd be stuck in some residential nowhere. Turns out that's kind of the point. You're in this quiet, tree-lined neighborhood that feels genuinely Berlin, not tourist Berlin. The building itself has this interesting modern facade that doesn't try too hard to be edgy, which I appreciated after seeing so many hotels that scream "look how design-forward we are!"
The rooms are where they really got it right, though. I mean, they're not huge – this is Berlin, after all, where space costs a fortune – but everything feels thoughtfully done. The beds are actually comfortable (you'd be surprised how many boutique places mess this up), and there's decent storage space, which matters when you're living out of a suitcase. What I really liked was how quiet it stays at night. You're far enough from the main drags like Kurfürstendamm that you won't hear traffic, but close enough that a quick U-Bahn ride gets you anywhere you want to go. The Dahlem-Dorf station is walkable, and from there you can hit Potsdamer Platz or Mitte without any hassle.
The staff definitely knows their neighborhood – they pointed me toward this little Turkish place around the corner that I never would've found otherwise, and when I needed to find a pharmacy late on Sunday (classic tourist move), they knew exactly which one would be open. Check-in was smooth, no weird early arrival fees or attitude about storing bags. The breakfast situation is solid without being fancy – good coffee, fresh bread, nothing Instagram-worthy but nothing disappointing either. Parking can be tricky since it's street-only in that area, but they'll tell you the best spots and when to move your car for street cleaning. I stayed in early fall when the neighborhood was all golden leaves and morning fog, which probably made everything seem more charming than it might in February, but even then, you're getting that authentic residential Berlin vibe that's harder to find near the big tourist sites. For the price point and that 8.7 rating, it makes sense – it's the kind of place that doesn't oversell itself but delivers on what it promises.

Late check in. due Too watching euro 2024 final... No problems at all. Thank you
Room was really hot...
Lovely comfortable apartment
Spacious and comfortable apartment. Modern decor, comfortable beds, full kitchen. Friendly and responsive staff. Fantastic gym.
Location is not great next to a highway and not too well connected to public transport (S and U bahn). Also few restaurants nearby. No washing machine and ironing board in the room. There is a cellar with washing machines but they cost 8 Euros to wash and 8 to dry, which I found expensive on top of inconvenient.
Nice, pleasant and effortess!
Nice, clean, airy and conveniently located for a quite weekend w the family.

This was my second stay in this hotel. Very nice room. Perfect hosts. I don’t know if it was on purpose or coincidence, but there was a present in the room- wich made me even more satisfied. Respect👌 Thank you members of hotel faces for the great stay
Nice clean appartment... easy to access and inclides superios gym
I liked the location and gym available at the location. Room was clean and big as well as it was kitchen. I knew that I would not get food at the location as I was focusing more to get a proper Gym and I got one...
I did not like the fact that I could not get a proper food. Although there are some restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood.
Lovely property! I would recommend it any time 🫶🏻
I loved the location and the beautiful interior design. The bed was very comfortable. The people working there are very friendly and helpful! 😊
The only thing would be that there is no elevator, but it’s good for exercising

Anabelle was really helpful, during our check in process especially when we had a last minute change in our flight. Good hotel apartment with good facilities and house keeping as well. Will definitely come back again.
Very nice to lace to stay at
The rooms was big and equipped with everything needed, very clean, Good location, super friendly stuff
Might be a little bit noisy because of a highway nearby, but not critical
The room was very comfortable and spacious.
We arrived by train but used the bus to travel into central city as very close to the accomodation and we enjoyed seeing the city. We also used the bus to go to area with many restaurants (2 stops). There was a nearby shop that we were able to walk to, to buy food etc.
As we were arriving after the reception closed, an email was sent to us to download an app on my phone. It was a bit of a worry as sent while we were travelling to Berlin by train and the internet was slow. But once done, it was very convenient.
