Urban Stuck Kreuzberg
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first walked up to Urban Stuck Kreuzberg on Urbanstraße, I wasn't expecting much from the street-level entrance. The building looks pretty typical for this part of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, you know, that mix of old Berlin architecture that's been given a modern refresh without losing its character. But once you step inside, it's actually quite impressive how they've managed to create this sleek, industrial-chic vibe that feels authentically Berlin rather than trying too hard to be trendy.
The location is what really sold me on this place. You're literally a five-minute walk from Mehringdamm U-Bahn station, which means you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without dealing with the tourist crowds that cluster around Mitte. What I love about staying here is that you're right in the heart of actual Berlin life – there's this fantastic Turkish bakery just around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee (and honestly, their börek is better than most hotel breakfasts), and you've got Bergmannstraße with all its vintage shops and cafés just a short stroll away. The neighborhood has this perfect balance where it feels lived-in and authentic, but you're not stuck somewhere remote either.
The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for Berlin standards, and whoever designed them actually understood that people need places to put their stuff – I mean, there are proper closets and surfaces that aren't just decorative. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel marketing comfortable), and the soundproofing is decent, though you'll still hear some street noise if you're a really light sleeper. The WiFi actually works throughout the building, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many places get this wrong. One thing that impressed me was how efficient the check-in process was – no unnecessary upselling or lengthy explanations, just helpful staff who seem to know the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations rather than the usual tourist trap suggestions. The whole place has this relaxed, unfussy atmosphere that feels refreshing after dealing with some of the more pretentious spots in the city. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably plan your day over coffee in the lobby without feeling like you need to dress up or whisper, but it's polished enough that you're not roughing it either.

Exceptional
Perfect location and host
all perfect
Awesome - loved it :)
Really helpful host, who met us late at night, as our flight did not land into Berlin until late, to hand over the keys. Explained everything we needed to know. Really friendly and helpful guy. Lovely Apartment, was just what we wanted.
Nothing, it was all great. Host explained what was where and how to travel into the centre. Really great area though, so was also good to explore it. Lots of great bars and restaurants to go to on the doorstep.
Just a really beautiful place!
When we arrived, I was really tired, but this place brightened my day. I really loved the design of the apartment, the ceilings, and the beautiful yellow entrance. I really felt at home. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed in this apartment. If I come back to Berlin, I will definitely think about choosing this place again!
I couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV because it had no signal. I could have asked the owner, but it wasn't that important for me, so I don't want to complain! - Also, on the last day, I didn't want to leave :D Wish i could stay longer! :D
The best possible landing pad for exploring Berlin!
It was cozy, clean and spacious! Martin truly thought of everything we could possibly need, from chargers to laundry detergent to kitchen supplies. The beds in the 2 loft spaces are super comfy and feel very roomy thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The location was perfect! We spent the whole time exploring Kreuzberg, and it was super each to catch the bus or the train as well to get anywhere in the city. Close to restaurants, bars, markets and the canal.
Book it, don't think it twice :)
Such a nice apartment! Me and my friend were pleasantly surprised. Spacious, clean and had everything (literally everything) we need for our stay. Also internet was fast while I had to work for a few hours in the house. I'll come back here on my next visit to Berlin for sure. Thanks for everything Martin :)
Exceptional
The apartment is good. It's perfect. Very comfortable, clean, and safe. It looks the same as the pictures. The location is good.
Everything was good.
Very good
The apartment was really nice, and perfectly equipped. Location was awesome, as everything was close by. As the apartment is quite big it is perfect for more than 2 people.
The only negative aspect was that the apartment itself was very thin-walled, therefore you could hear everything going on in front of the entrance. So if you have a light sleep, take some earbuds with ya.
Good
Liked the location and facilities provided. Easy to get into main sights once we had got familiar with transport system
Needs a little bit of upkeep around radiators and some paintwork . If on a short trip might want to be closer to centre of Berlin to avoid the extra travelling in and out of centre from accomodation.
Avoid: Paid in full but host insistent I pay more
Location
The facts: Booked 2 nights through Booking.com with full pre-payment. Upon check-in at agreed time, the host demanded €20 extra in cash for out of hours , claiming Booking.com told them to charge outside the booking. No evidence was provided, nothing on this on booking.com site. . Host continued to insist on payment and would not leave the apartment for some time. My advice: Avoid this host to dodge unjustified charges and harassment. Booking.com were full of platitudes but no action. Pltforms must address providers engaging in deceitful practices to maintain integrity - they owe transparency and security to paying customers.
Very good
