Wyndham Garden Berlin Mitte
About
You know what? The Wyndham Garden Berlin Mitte surprised me. I'll be honest - when I first saw the address on Osloer Straße, I thought "great, another corporate hotel in some random spot." But actually, this location works better than you'd think. You're right in the heart of Mitte, which means you can walk to most of the stuff you actually want to see, and the U-Bahn station is literally around the corner if you need to hop over to Kreuzberg or wherever.
The building itself has that clean, modern German efficiency thing going on - nothing fancy, but everything works exactly like it should. Check-in was smooth (no weird surprise fees or anything), and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. My room was on the fourth floor, and I was expecting street noise since Osloer can get busy, but it was surprisingly quiet at night. The beds are actually comfortable - I mean, not luxury hotel amazing, but way better than some places I've stayed that cost twice as much. What I really appreciated was the little details: decent water pressure in the shower, outlets where you need them, and - this might sound silly - but the curtains actually block out light properly, which is huge if you're dealing with jet lag.
Here's the thing about this area that locals know but tourists often miss - you're walking distance from some of Berlin's best authentic spots that haven't been completely overrun yet. There's this incredible Turkish bakery just two streets over that opens at 6 AM (perfect if you're still on weird hours), and Wedding district is right there with all its emerging galleries and cafes. Sure, it's not as polished as Unter den Linden, but that's actually refreshing. You get real Berlin life happening around you. The hotel itself sits at a solid 7 out of 10 for me - it's not going to blow your mind, but it does everything well without any major frustrations. The breakfast is decent (though skip it if you're feeling adventurous and hit up that Turkish place instead), and there's a small fitness area if you need to work off all the schnitzel. Parking was easier than I expected, though I'd still recommend just using public transport since Berlin's system is so good. Would I stay here again? Yeah, definitely - especially for the price point and the fact that you're getting authentic neighborhood vibes without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Close to transport links, good price and would stay again.
Young Bar attendant very helpful and polite went out of his way to help us. Indonesian Young Man.
Very unusual to have a sink in the Bedroom area and not in the Bathroom. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room or access to free tea coffee in reception area. The area outside the hotel could do with somebody removing all the dirty litter. Looks unkept.
rooms are fine. It's a good deal. the fridge is tiny and there is no microwave
room was nice and it's a bathtub and the front desk staff was amazing - the best part
it's under construction in the front and entry and first garden / glassed in section. I didn't realize til i got there that the restaurant i was counting on was closed for construction? or some reason. Also they sprayed my room daily with a perfume i hated and felt allergic to. a friend visited and was scared and creeped out by the chaotic entrance under construction with wires hanging from the ceiling of the huge entry tunnel and random plywood hammered in random areas. it felt unsafe
Very good
We were given a massive family room which was very comfortable and nicely kept. The two twin beds were super comfortable and so were the feather pillows. The hotel itself has a lot of character and the staff were very helpful. Nice breakfast as well with plenty of choice. Good value for money. We would stay there again for that price.
Even though the hotel is in zone B it is not very central. It's a ten minute walk from the S bahn stop which is not a problem itself but the area had no restaurants or bars nearby. The hotel bar also closed at 8 on a Friday so we couldn't have a drink or food there either.
Great room, excellent shower!
We loved the building, it had loads of really cool vintage features! We loved the little outdoor seating area. Our bed was super comfy and the shower was SO powerful it was great! Our room was a great size. The mini fridge was really useful and the wardrobe was huge :)
The location is a bit far out and it’s a ten minute walk from the train station. The feather pillows aren’t the most comfortable but are still okay.
Very comfortable, clean, friendly staff
Well situated close to a U-Bahn station
No air conditioning meant it was very hot during the recent heatwave, the room did have a large fan but it couldn’t do much against the exceptional heat
Thanks from friendly receptionist, they were all kind and friendly
The property location close to all famous places and attractions, train stations only 10 minutes, shopping center 5 minutes walk, many restaurants just in 50 meters.
We can recommend the facility.
The staff spoke Italian. The rooms were very comfortable and definitely large enough.
The elevator / lift always took a bit long to arrive and we could not find the stairs we could use instead.
Good
The spacious room
The Suite did not have a minibar.
Great and comfortable
It was great hotel with lots of parking, good breakfast, elevators, and great service!
The hotel itself was great

This hotel gives off an air of bygone day excellence, from the entrance, the reception and even the room I had booked. It is very comfortable, quiet with great staff. There is a tram stop only a few minutes walk and a train station only five minutes away.
I returned on Sunday evening at 22.15 and would have liked a nightcap but the bar was closed, the night porter told me about a vending machine but sadly this did not have red wine or any spirits. The room is not supplied with any tea or coffee facilities which is a normal requisite these days.
