ABACUS Tierpark Hotel
About
You know what caught me off guard about ABACUS Tierpark Hotel? The name makes it sound like some corporate chain, but honestly, it's got way more personality than I expected from a 4-star place. I mean, don't get me wrong – it's not going to blow your mind or anything (that 7.6 rating is pretty spot-on), but there's something refreshingly straightforward about it that I actually appreciated.
The whole Tierpark connection isn't just marketing fluff either. You can actually hear the zoo animals in the early morning if you're on the right side of the building – which sounds annoying but is weirdly charming once you get used to it. The staff mentioned that families with kids absolutely love this, and I get it. There's something kind of magical about hearing those distant animal sounds while you're having your morning coffee. The rooms themselves are what you'd expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable beds, decent WiFi that doesn't cut out every five minutes. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious, though the shower pressure is just okay (not amazing, not terrible).
What I really liked was how unpretentious everything felt. The lobby doesn't try too hard with fancy marble or whatever – it's just comfortable and welcoming. Check-in was smooth, parking was easy to figure out, and the breakfast spread was actually pretty good. Nothing fancy, but they had proper coffee and fresh pastries, which honestly covers like 80% of what I need to start the day right. The location works well if you're planning to hit the zoo obviously, but you're also not stuck in some tourist bubble. There are actual neighborhoods around here, real restaurants where locals eat, that sort of thing. I walked around in the evenings and it felt like a genuine part of the city rather than some isolated hotel district.
Look, I'm not going to pretend this place is perfect – the décor is a bit dated in spots, and sometimes the service felt a little slow during busy periods. But there's something to be said for a hotel that just does the basics really well without trying to be something it's not. If you want over-the-top luxury, this isn't it. But if you want a comfortable, honest place to stay that won't break the bank and actually feels connected to where you are? Yeah, ABACUS Tierpark delivers on that front.

Room, and it's close to the subway station
The location is very good. Easy access to TierPark station. There are groceries and restaurants nearby.
Good place, near subway station.
Clean, spacious rooms with fridges in them. Comfortable beds. Good location - near the subway. There are free parking lots, but not very many. If you can't find where to park your car, the hotel has its own parking, but you will need to pay.

Clean, very good breakfast, friendly staff
The hotel is located close to subway and tram, making it convenient to go to downtown. The room was spacious. It did not have electric kettle, but they provided one when asked (which was great!).
The accommodation was very comfortable, the staff very friendly. They are available 24 hours a day for any problem. I am happy to recommend this hotel.
Spacious room size, bathtub, low cost or free parking, close to public transport
Great location, comfy beds, nice view from 5th floor. Some of the hotel staff super friendly & helpful.
