Anna 1908
About
You know what struck me first about Anna 1908? The name actually means something here – you can feel the history in the bones of this place the moment you walk through the door. It's one of those 3-star hotels that punches way above its weight class, honestly. The lobby has this lived-in elegance that newer places try to fake with distressed furniture, but here it's just... authentic, I guess.
The rooms are smaller than what you'd get at some chain hotel, but they're thoughtfully put together. I mean, someone clearly cared about the details – the lighting actually works for reading in bed (revolutionary concept, right?), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which you can't always count on in older buildings. The walls are thick enough that you're not hearing every conversation from the hallway, though if you're a super light sleeper, pack earplugs anyway. What really impressed me was how clean everything felt without that harsh chemical smell some places have – it's more like staying at your most organized friend's apartment.
The staff genuinely seems to know the area, not just the tourist trap stuff. When I asked about breakfast spots, the desk clerk didn't just hand me a generic list – she actually told me which café has the best pastries on Tuesdays (apparently the baker works different days). Check-in was smooth, no drama, and they let me store my bags early without making it feel like I was asking for a huge favor. Honestly, for an 8.6 rating, I was expecting maybe some rough edges, but the little things were handled well. The Wi-Fi works throughout the building, the elevators don't groan ominously, and there's enough hot water for a proper shower even if you're not an early riser. It's the kind of place where you feel like a person, not just another booking confirmation number – and at this price point, that's actually pretty rare.

lovely stay. parking & breakfast a bit expensive but the breakfast was very nice!
We a family of four stayed for a day and it was made very pleasant by the staff. They were very approachable and warm and made out stay very nice. The rooms are small but that was already known The staff also is very quick to your request for a warm water thermos and such other things
Very nice stay, very very friendly staff! We will come again!
The room was exactly as has been described. The personnel has been very kind. They have also left at the room a small gift on the Christmas Eve, which was very kind and warm. Last but not least , the location was very close to a bus station, very close to U-bahn station and the S-bahn station is 10 mins walking distance.
I stayed at the facility for only a night and it was lovely. I chose the location specifically, and it was very convenient for me but, it's a tiny bit far from the city center. However, you have everything you need in reach within the area: U-Bahn, shopping centers, restaurants, etc. The hotel itself and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again.
The apartment was very clean. Superb breakfast.
