Aparthotel VEGA
About
Look, I'll be straight with you about Aparthotel VEGA – it's one of those places that doesn't try to be something it's not, and honestly, that's exactly what made me like it. The moment you walk in, you get this sense that this is a no-nonsense kind of spot. The lobby's got that clean, minimalist thing going on without being cold, and the staff behind the desk actually seem to know what they're doing instead of just reading from a script.
What really won me over was the apartment setup – I mean, having a proper kitchenette changes everything when you're traveling. You know that feeling when you've been eating out for days and just want to make yourself a simple breakfast? Yeah, VEGA gets that. The units aren't huge, but they're smartly laid out (someone actually thought about where you'd put your suitcase without blocking the bathroom door). The beds are comfortable enough that I didn't wake up feeling like I'd been wrestling with the mattress all night, and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for a 3-star place. There's this great natural light that comes through the windows in the morning – not the harsh kind that jolts you awake, but that gentle stuff that makes you feel like getting up.
The neighborhood itself has this authentic vibe that you don't always find near hotels. You'll hear the city waking up in the morning – coffee machines starting up in nearby cafés, people heading to work – but it's not the kind of noise that keeps you up at night. I actually enjoyed walking around the area in the evenings; there's this local bakery about two blocks away that does incredible pastries (the owner's there every morning by 6 AM, I swear), and you'll find yourself discovering those little spots that don't show up on tourist maps. Parking can be a bit tricky during weekdays – street spots fill up fast around 8 AM – but the staff pointed me toward a small lot nearby that most visitors miss.
Now, is VEGA going to blow your mind with luxury touches? No, and that 7.2 rating reflects exactly that – it's solidly good without pretending to be fancy. The Wi-Fi actually works (shocking, I know), housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and check-in was refreshingly quick. I did notice the elevator's a bit slow, so if you're on the upper floors and running late, maybe factor in an extra minute or two. But here's the thing – places like this are why I sometimes prefer aparthotels over traditional hotels. You get your space, you can live a bit like a local, and you're not paying for amenities you'll never use. If you're looking for a straightforward, comfortable base that lets you actually experience the city instead of just passing through it, VEGA delivers on that promise without any fuss.

Very close to lots of interesting spots in the city. The room was very nice as well. Good overall service. Will be back again next time.
The location is fantastic. They had parking for us. The place was pretty clean and big.
Really close to the train station. We used it as an overnight stop to break up train travel. It’s only a few hundred metres to walk
The Location was only 10 mins from train station, appartment was very clean and warm.
The room exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness, though the furnishings were minimal as expected for this price range. While the beds were slightly softer than average, they provided a comfortable night's sleep. The hotel's prime location near Berlin Zoologischer Garten Bahnhof makes it incredibly convenient for both public transport and city exploration. The garage parking was surprisingly affordable, though it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the excellent location, cleanliness, comfort, and value for money, we had a truly satisfying stay.
Perfect location, huge beds, nice and fully equipped kitchen.
The location of the apartment is convenient to visit the main attractions of the city. It is also surrounded by shops and restaurants. The actual room that we stayed was spacious and clean.
Convenient for buses and subway/rail links with shops and eateries within close walking distance. Clean linen, towels changed as required, comfortable mattress. Secure doors/windows - felt private and safe and overall clean - generally quiet but some neighbourly noises audible (as well as the passing trains). Good wifi, floor standing fan; oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine (not all used by us). Simple check-in/out and luggage stored without charge between check-out and final departure time.
It’s well located, clean and has everything you need.
Amazing location with great cafes restaurants and transportation nearby. The Hotel itself is a bit dated, but rooms have everything needed and good size. Simple, functional setup, nothing fancy, but practical.
