Apartments Schöneberg
About
You know what? I wasn't expecting much from Apartments Schöneberg when I first walked up – it's one of those unassuming Berlin places that doesn't try to wow you from the street. But honestly, that's kind of the point. This is proper Schöneberg, not the touristy bits, and the building fits right into the neighborhood's lived-in vibe. The apartments themselves are actually pretty solid for a 3-star setup – I mean, you're getting proper space here, not some cramped hotel room where you're bumping into the minibar every time you turn around. The kitchenettes are basic but functional (decent-sized fridge, stovetop that actually heats evenly), and there's something satisfying about being able to make your morning coffee without hunting down the nearest café. Though let's be real, you'll probably end up at one of the local spots anyway because the coffee scene around here is... well, it's Berlin.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Schöneberg has this thing where it can be buzzing during the day but settles down pretty reasonably after dinner. The walls aren't paper-thin like some apartment hotels I've stayed in, so you're not getting a play-by-play of your neighbor's Netflix choices. The area itself is brilliant if you actually want to feel like you're living in Berlin rather than just visiting it. You've got the U-Bahn connections that'll get you anywhere (though I can't remember exactly which station is closest – one of the U4 stops, I think?), and honestly, some of the best Turkish food in the city is just a short walk away. There's this little späti on the corner that became my daily stop for beer and random snacks, run by this guy who somehow remembered my terrible German pronunciation after day two.
The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it's not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on the basics and then some. Check-in was straightforward, no weird quirks or hidden fees that make you feel like you're being nickel-and-dimed. I will say the building's entrance is a bit... industrial? But once you're inside your apartment, it's comfortable and clean, with decent lighting and enough outlets for all your devices. The shower pressure was surprisingly good, which – if you've stayed in enough European apartments – you know is not something to take for granted. If you're the type who needs a concierge and room service, this isn't your place. But if you want a proper base in a real Berlin neighborhood where you can spread out, cook the occasional meal, and not feel like you're living in a hotel bubble, Apartments Schöneberg hits that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity.

Great location, comfy beds, nice shower
Rooms were spacious. Access via elevator to 5th floor, the stairs to top floor. Lots of dishes & utensils.
Good location near U- bahn and on the border of zone with restricted entryway, near highway. Espacious apartment, well equipped. there is plenty of shops ( Lidl :) ), cofees and restaurants in neighbourhood. There is big table for 10 person, we could spend evening and morning time comfortable.
