The walls aren't paper-thin like some apartment hotels I've stayed in, so you're not getting a play-by-play of your neighbor's Netflix choices. The area itself is brilliant if you actually want to feel like you're living in Berlin rather than just visiting it. Check-in was straightforward, no weird quirks or hidden fees that make you feel like you're being nickel-and-dimed. I will say the building's entrance is a bit... industrial? But once you're inside your apartment, it's comfortable and clean, with decent lighting and enough outlets for all your devices. The shower pressure was surprisingly good, which – if you've stayed in enough European apartments – you know is not something to take for granted. If you're the type who needs a concierge and room service, this isn't your place. But if you want a proper base in a real Berlin neighborhood where you can spread out, cook the occasional meal, and not feel like you're living in a hotel bubble, Apartments Schöneberg hits that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity.
