Arbio I Urban Apartment
About
First Impressions
The Arbio I Urban Apartment sits tucked away in a quiet courtyard on Berliner Allee, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you're not paying attention. It's one of those places that feels more like staying at a friend's well-appointed flat than checking into a traditional hotel — which is exactly the point. The three-star rating doesn't tell the whole story here, because what you're getting is something much more authentic than your typical tourist accommodation.
Location & Neighborhood
Pankow used to be this sleepy residential district that most visitors overlooked, but it's become one of Berlin's best-kept secrets for travelers who want to experience the city like locals do. You're about a 15-minute tram ride from Alexanderplatz, but the neighborhood itself has everything you actually need — proper bakeries, corner cafés where people still read newspapers, and tree-lined streets that feel refreshingly unhurried. I mean, there's a reason couples rate this location so highly (8.5 out of 10, apparently) — it strikes that perfect balance between accessible and genuinely residential.
The Space
What you get is essentially a well-designed urban apartment that someone clearly put thought into. The room feels spacious without being cavernous, and there's actual storage space — you know, those little details that matter when you're staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The kitchen is compact but functional, stocked with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market and cook something simple. Actually, having that option completely changes how you experience a city, especially somewhere like Berlin where the food scene extends far beyond restaurants.
Daily Life
What I really appreciated was how the place encourages you to slow down a bit. There's no bustling lobby or constant stream of tour groups — just a quiet courtyard entrance and the kind of atmosphere where you can actually hear yourself think. The wifi works perfectly (essential for planning your days), and the whole setup makes it easy to pop out for a few hours of sightseeing, then come back and decompress properly. You'll find yourself lingering over morning coffee instead of rushing out the door, which honestly makes for a much better travel experience.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 location rating from recent guests makes complete sense once you've spent a day or two here. It's not about being steps from major tourist sites — it's about being embedded in a neighborhood that feels genuinely Berlin. You can walk to the local S-Bahn station in about eight minutes, grab excellent bread from the bakery around the corner, and still feel like you're experiencing something real rather than just checking boxes off a sightseeing list. For travelers who want more than just a place to sleep between museum visits, this kind of setup is pretty much perfect.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

Apartment was close to tram station thanks to what we were able to get to city centre within 20 minutes. Apartment was also big, clean and bright.
The location is very good. It is clean and comfortable apartment.
How quiet and well connected it was
Excellent location close to tram stop with good connection to city center. Bakery and supermarket nearby the stay. Clean appartement, friendly host.
Super easy check in! The apartment provided a quiet and peaceful atmosphere despite the busy street near the main entrance. The fact that the apartment is situated on the other side of the inner yard, shielding it from traffic noise, is a great advantage. The accommodation comprises a small kitchen, a bathroom and a cozy smaller bedroom on the ground floor and a spacious one on the upper level, complete with a double bed, sofa, and dining table. The excellent heating system is a significant plus, particularly during rainy and cold weather, which I truly appreciated. The apartment boasts excellent transport connections, with a tram station located just 100 meters away. This proximity to public transportation makes it incredibly convenient for getting around the city and exploring the area with ease. The bathroom was tiny, but that didn't bother me because it looked nice and was very clean.
Great location for public transport. Everything works fine and the information from the host is perfect. Very easy to find
