B&B HOTEL Berlin-Adlershof
About
So I ended up at this B&B Hotel in Adlershof, and honestly? It's one of those places that surprises you in a good way. You know how some 3-star hotels try way too hard to be fancy and fall flat – well, this isn't that. It just does the basics really, really well.
First thing you notice is how quiet it is, which caught me off guard since I'm used to Berlin hotels being... well, loud. But Adlershof sits out in the southeast, where the city gets a bit more spacious and the tech companies have their offices. Actually, that's probably why this hotel exists – there's a whole science and technology park nearby, so you'll see plenty of business travelers in crisp shirts grabbing coffee in the morning. The area feels almost suburban compared to Mitte or Kreuzberg, with actual trees lining the streets and this relaxed vibe that grows on you. I mean, you're still connected to everything (the S-Bahn gets you to Alexanderplatz in like 25 minutes), but you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of sirens.
The rooms themselves are what I'd call "smart simple" – clean lines, decent beds that don't leave you with a backache, and everything works the way it should. No fussy decor or weird art installations, just functional spaces with good lighting and – this matters more than people think – proper blackout curtains. Check-in was refreshingly quick too, none of that drawn-out lobby theater some places put you through. What really won me over was the breakfast setup. Nothing groundbreaking, but the coffee was actually hot, the bread was fresh (proper German bread, not that spongy stuff), and they had those little glass jars of local honey that make you feel like you're getting something authentic. Plus, the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – when I asked about getting to Schönefeld Airport, the guy at the desk actually pulled out a map and showed me the fastest route instead of just saying "take the train."
Look, this place isn't going to be anyone's Instagram backdrop, and if you want to stumble out of your hotel directly into Berlin's legendary nightlife, you'll need to hop on public transport. But if you're looking for a solid home base that won't blow your budget – especially if you're here for work or want to explore Berlin without the tourist circus – it hits that sweet spot. The 7.6 rating makes sense; it's not perfect, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.

Price was very good compared to others in Berlin
Renewed number, small size but very comfortable. Private parking. Quiet area of Berlin and close to main transport links
No issue apart from how warm it was in the rooms. We had a good stay :)
Great value for money and bed very comfortable. Staff were lovely and friendly. Fresh decor in bedroom and shower room
The choices of breakfast are not so much, but they are enough. You can have milk, juice, bread, cheese, eggs and some fruit there. The room is pretty large, and so is the bathroom.
Good location, clean room, good value for money
