This neighborhood used to be pretty rough around the edges, but BENSIMON has found this sweet spot that actually makes perfect sense once you're there. The area's got this authentic Berlin vibe that you just don't get in the touristy parts of Mitte, and honestly? That's exactly what made my stay memorable.

The apartments themselves are properly done – I mean, you can tell someone actually thought about how people live, not just how places photograph. My kitchen had everything I needed (including a decent coffee maker, thank god), and the whole space felt like an actual home rather than some sterile hotel room. The floors have this satisfying creak that somehow feels comforting rather than annoying, and there's enough natural light that I didn't feel like I was hiding in a cave. What really got me was the attention to small stuff – proper hangers, enough outlets where you actually need them, and a shower with decent water pressure. Moabit's positioning is actually brilliant if you know Berlin at all. You're walking distance to the Hauptbahnhof, which sounds mundane but means you can literally get anywhere in the city without thinking about it.
