You know what really got me about this place? It's tucked right into Graefekiez – which honestly feels like the last genuinely local corner of Kreuzberg before everything got completely gentrified. I mean, you're literally living on Schönleinstraße where actual Berliners still hang out at the corner späti and argue about football over morning coffee.
The apartment itself is surprisingly well put together for a local rental – none of that IKEA-catalog sterility you get with most places. There's character here, like the way the morning light hits those big windows, and you can actually hear the neighborhood waking up: kids heading to school, the Turkish bakery firing up their ovens down the street. The kitchen's properly equipped too, which matters because honestly? You'll want to shop at the weekend market on Maybachufer (it's maybe a seven-minute walk) and cook some of that incredible produce. The shower pressure is solid – I know, weird detail, but after a day wandering around Berlin's endless streets, it actually matters.
What I really appreciated was how the hosts seem to get that people want to live like locals, not tourists trapped in Mitte. You're close enough to walk to places like Zur Letzten Instanz (Berlin's oldest restaurant, if you're into that sort of thing) but far enough from the tourist madness that you can breathe. The U-Bahn connections are genuinely good – Schönleinstraße station is right there, so you can be in the center in fifteen minutes, or hop over to Friedrichshain when you want different energy. Parking's typical Berlin nightmare, but honestly, you don't need a car here anyway. The area gets properly quiet at night, which surprised me given how lively it is during the day – I guess that's the difference between a real neighborhood and a party district. Oh, and there's this little café called Chapter One about two blocks away that does proper flat whites, which, trust me, is harder to find in Berlin than you'd think. The 9.2 rating makes sense – it's not fancy, but it's exactly what it promises to be.

A pleasant stay in a comfortable location.
A spacious, centrally located, Italianate style apartment in easy reach of the city centre. Plenty of cafes, bars and grocery shops within quick walking distance. Comfortable, clean and relatively well equipped for a traveller.
Although there was a washing machine, there was no iron nor ironing board. A listening device monitors noise levels (and whatever else); a bit intrusive. Proper pillows would be better than the large cushions.
I highly recommend this place
Very clean and located central with nice Cafe’s and one minute walk to Ubahn station.
Parking in that area is quite expensive.
Spacious and clean flat, overall very comfy
The flat was spacious and clean, bed is large and comfy, big TV screens were appreciated. It is also very suitable for kids. We spent most of our our time in Kreuzberg so the location was great.
The perfect location for a city break.
This apartment is 2 minutes away from the U-Bhan station. There are so many places to eat in walking distance from the property, food from all around the world.

Really nice stay here. Apartment was very spacious and well stocked with all the ammenities you will need. Location was nice and we felt welcome in the space.
Not the owners fault but one night we had protesters chanting and letting off fireworks at 9.30pm on a nearby street and scared the life out of us.

Loved so much. Spacious and sparkling clean. Beautiful high ceilings and moldings. Apartment is bright and airy and had everything we needed. Our host Berat was a lovely, polite and very responsive communicator. We accidentally locked ourselves out and he was there in 30 minutes with the key.
Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken which we were not told ahead of time, and the weather was very warm during our stay. The host provided fans which would have been totally ok for us, except we had to have the windows open and the apartment is on street level with the bedroom windows facing the street. Suffice it to say there was a lot of noise coming from the bar across the street which woke us up during the night. If the windows were closed we would not have had a problem as they are quite soundproof - so I would stay there again if the weather was cooler or the ac was fixed.

We stayed 5 nights, and we've been very happy with the apartment. It's in a perfect location, steps from the metro station, and quite centrally located. Quiet street, beautiful neighborhood with plenty of dining options. The apartment was clean, and it's exactly as in the pictures. We particularly appreciated the very big room, giving plenty of space for your luggage. Airy, high ceilings. Very well noise insulated. On an elevated ground floor, offering enough privacy from the street. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

3AM wake up due to loud partiers coming come in the building (on a weeknight). Not the fault of the property, but a reality of my stay. Pillows were decorative type and not using reusable covers.
