Carlotta Apartments
About
Look, I'll be straight with you about Carlotta Apartments – this place genuinely surprised me. I mean, when you see "apartments" in the name, you're maybe expecting something a bit basic, right? But honestly, these folks have figured out how to make extended-stay living feel actually luxurious without being stuffy about it.
The first thing that hits you is how quiet everything is. I stayed here during what should've been a busy week, and you know what? I could barely hear my neighbors. The soundproofing is seriously impressive – something you don't really think about until you're trying to work from your room or just want to sleep in without hearing someone's morning routine through the walls. The apartments themselves feel more like someone's well-appointed city flat than a hotel room that's been copied 200 times. Each one's got this lived-in quality, but in a good way – like the furniture was actually chosen by someone who cares, not just bulk-ordered from a hospitality catalog.
What really won me over was the kitchen situation. I'm talking full-sized appliances, decent cookware (not the sad little pots you usually get), and enough counter space to actually prep a meal if you want to skip restaurants for a night. The staff – and this is where that 9.2 rating makes total sense – they stock the basics without you having to ask. Coffee, tea, even some local snacks that honestly introduced me to a few things I ended up seeking out later. Check-in was refreshingly human too, not some rushed transaction where they're already looking past you to the next person in line.
The whole vibe is sort of... sophisticated but unpretentious? Like, there's clearly attention to detail everywhere – the linens are actually nice, the lighting doesn't make you look like you're under interrogation, and someone thought about where you'd want to plug in your devices. But it doesn't feel like they're trying too hard to impress you with unnecessary flourishes. I appreciated that the cleaning service was thorough without being intrusive, and they seemed to understand that when you're staying somewhere for more than a couple nights, you develop your own little routines and preferences.
Honestly, the longer you stay, the more you notice these thoughtful touches. The shower pressure is excellent (seriously, don't underestimate this), there's actually adequate closet space, and the Wi-Fi doesn't mysteriously cut out every time more than three people try to use it. I ended up extending my stay partly because I was getting work done so efficiently – something about the setup just worked for me. It's the kind of place where you can settle in properly, whether you're there for a long weekend or a few weeks, without feeling like you're camping out in someone else's idea of hospitality.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

The apartment was extremely open and spacious, the location was great and very central to everything. All beds and shower facilities were very good and the cafe downstairs was great. Host was very friendly and helpful and we had a great experience for a short work trip.
Great location. Clean and simple lodgings.
Very comfortable modern flat in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of opportunities for shopping and sightseeing.
The room has a great view. The modernized decorative style and bright living room with a big balcony and two bedrooms with huge French windows attract my family.
Very clean, the room looked just like in the pictures. Great shower and bath tube. We landed very early, but our room was ready a couple of hours prior to check-in which was nice.
Johannes was an amazing host. Easy to communicate with and very nice and helpful! We had a great experience staying at Carlotta apartments.
