You know what hit me first about Central Apartment on Linienstraße? The street itself – it's this perfect slice of Mitte that somehow feels both central and residential at the same time. I mean, you're literally a five-minute walk from Hackescher Markt, but the building sits on a quieter stretch where you're not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic outside your window.

These are proper apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments. The kitchenette actually works (I made coffee every morning without wanting to throw anything), and there's enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The WiFi is solid – I worked from there a couple days without issues. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you're in the heart of everything. The Hackescher Höfe are practically around the corner, and if you're into the gallery scene, you're already in the right spot. I loved that I could grab groceries at the Rewe on Torstraße without it being a whole expedition, and there's this bakery – Siebert – just down the street that does incredible Schrippe if you're up early enough. The building itself has that renovated-but-not-overdone feel that's become pretty typical for this area. Check-in was straightforward, though I'd recommend confirming arrival times since it's not a traditional hotel setup. Really, for the price point and that location, it's hard to argue with – especially if you want to feel like you're actually staying in Berlin rather than just visiting it.
