COOLEST Apartment in Berlin, easy Check-in, Industrial Style, close to center #3
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first saw this place listed as the "COOLEST Apartment in Berlin," I rolled my eyes a bit. But you know what? They're not entirely wrong. This industrial-style spot on Berliner Allee actually delivers on the vibe they're going for, even if the name feels a little try-hard.
The apartment sits right in Pankow, which honestly works out better than you'd think. Sure, it's not Mitte or Kreuzberg, but that's sort of the point – you're getting authentic Berlin without the tourist chaos. The S-Bahn connection from nearby is solid (the S2 line runs pretty frequently), and I actually found myself appreciating the quieter neighborhood feel after long days wandering around the more hectic parts of the city. There's this great little Turkish bakery just down the street that locals hit up for morning coffee, and the whole area has that lived-in Berlin character without feeling sketchy or too polished.
The industrial styling isn't just Instagram bait either – they've done it thoughtfully. Exposed brick, concrete floors that actually stay cool in summer, and these massive windows that flood the place with light. The check-in process really is as easy as they claim (digital codes, no awkward key handoffs), which I appreciated after a long travel day. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional too – I mean, you're not cooking elaborate meals, but there's enough there if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Edeka and save some euros. The bed's comfortable enough, though the industrial aesthetic means things can feel a bit echoey if you're used to carpeted hotel rooms. Street noise isn't too bad, but Berliner Allee does get some traffic, so light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. That 8.4 rating feels about right – it's a solid choice that delivers on its promises without any major surprises, good or bad. If you're looking for that Berlin industrial aesthetic but want to actually sleep well and have space to spread out, this place hits the sweet spot.

A very nice stay
The place is super clean, and very nicely decorated. Everything is spotless, brand new and in excellent working order. The beds were super comfortable. I also loved the room darkening curtain on the upstairs bedroom, I think the downstairs bedroom should have one as well. There is a little fridge, oven and stovetop, microwave, coffee maker and a teapot, and a dishwasher. The place, while off the beaten path, is very easy to get to with M4 tram, which runs about every 3-5 minutes. It is about 15-20 min ride from Alexanderplatz. There are a few grocery stores by the Antonplatz stop, and a cute and tasty Vietnamese restaurant up the street. I would point out that this unit is split into two levels- one bedroom and the kitchen/sitting room are upstairs, another bedroom and the bathroom are downstairs. Definitely not for people with mobility issues.
The stairs are metal and steep and if one has to go up and down in the dark, it can be dangerous. A nightlight of some sort may be good. We asked for additional towels, and while the host is very responsive, we never got them. Also, the whole building seems to be a hotel/hostel with other rooms for rent, the neighbors were loud well into the night, not sure if this is regular occurrence or an accident. We could hear people yelling nightly from upstairs, as well as in the common area. There are only two washers for the whole building, you may or may not be able to use them, depending on others.
great apartment close to the city
it is really a nice apartment, all the amenities you need are there, very clean and all things seems to be new. parking is close by and is free of charge. close to the city - 10 min with a car. great that bedrooms are separate and you can have some privacy.
it’s a bit stuffy to sleep in the closed bedrooms without windows, also each time you go to bath you need to take stairs barefoot - which is not very safe. I’d add the hanger at the entrance for outside clothes - would be very convenient and a small place to put your shoes, too.
Very good
It was a really cool and stylish apartment just outside the city. Fabian was really nice and helpful which is a bonus.
We had a great time during our stay, the appartment is beautiful and location is great.
Location of the appartment was great, very close to a tram station and easy to travel around the city from there.
We thinkt that the beds where not super comfortable, at least they could have been better. And we might have missed one extra set of towels for the duration of the stay.
a bit noisy but well equipped and comfortable
It is close to tram and way to the center takes 15 minutes which is fine. It is well equipped and comfortable. Bedroom and bathroon are downstairs.
Appartment is on the main street. It means that it is a bit noisy.
Good stay, we were away a lot. Some restaurants close by (did not try) and several supermarkets (did use). Good acces to
Good location, with tramline 10 mins to Alexanderplatz. Right on the street with own entrance (pincode, so easy). Comfort was OK and with good shades for privacy and darkness.
One bedroom and bathroom in cellar and one bedroom (kids?) upstairs. For us no problem, but good to be aware.
We stayed in the apartment mainly for business purpose, but had the opportunity to explore Berlin.
The property is located close to Anton Platz tram station. From there one can explore the whole of Berlin, the sites and restaurants. Apart from the other shops in the area, there is a small deli (Edeka) close to the apartment where we had our breakfast each morning.
The class wall of the bottom room has loose glass panels. When the neighbours walk the ceiling and floor vibrates causing the class panels to rattle. Very difficult to sleep. You should put a rubber lining between these glass panels and the steel frame.
Was Great with minor things to improve.
Very cozy, with everything one needs in a vacation flat.
It was very warm inside at our arrival. Please reduce initial heating.
Great stay the property is in a nice neighborhood close to local restaurants I would stay again my next time in Berlin
