Numa Berlin Drift
About
You know what hit me first about Numa Berlin Drift? It's that moment when you step out onto Nollendorfplatz and realize you're standing in the heart of what makes Berlin actually interesting. I mean, sure, tourists flock to Brandenburg Gate, but this corner of Schöneberg – this is where the city breathes. The hotel sits right on the square where Christopher Isherwood used to wander back in the day, and honestly, you can still feel that creative energy buzzing around, especially in the evenings when the nearby bars start filling up.
The building itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciate – it's not trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect, but there's definitely thought put into every detail. Check-in was refreshingly smooth (no hovering bellhops or overly rehearsed smiles), and the rooms strike this perfect balance between modern functionality and actually having some character. The beds are properly comfortable – like, sink-into-them-after-walking-15,000-steps comfortable – and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which honestly shouldn't be noteworthy but somehow always is in European hotels. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a pretty lively square. Good windows make all the difference.
Here's the thing about the location though – you're literally a three-minute walk from Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station, which connects you to both the U1 and U2 lines. That means Potsdamer Platz is maybe ten minutes away, Museum Island is totally doable, and if you want to explore Kreuzberg or Friedrichshain (which you absolutely should), you're not stuck with expensive taxi rides. But more importantly, you're surrounded by this fantastic mix of traditional German restaurants, wine bars, and late-night spots that feel authentically Berlin rather than tourist-trapped. There's this little bakery called Zeit für Brot just around the corner – their sourdough is ridiculous, and locals actually line up for it on weekend mornings. The whole Winterfeldtplatz market is a Saturday morning ritual if you're into that sort of thing, and it's maybe a five-minute stroll away. Plus, you're close enough to the Tiergarten that morning runs or evening walks feel natural, not like some planned tourist activity. I'd definitely stay here again – it's one of those places that gets the balance right between being professionally run and feeling like you're staying somewhere that actual Berliners might choose.

Excellent! I will definitely stay here again when I visit Berlin!
Excellent location in Schoeneberg, across from Nollendorfplatz U-bahn station which makes it simple to get to Potsdamer Platz and Brandenburg Gate/Bundestag/Museum Insel, Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg. Very easy and efficient check in with the door code, no keycard required for anything. Laundry facilities. Clean and unexpectedly large room, great shower, comfy bed. There is a Lidl grocery store very close, for cheap snacks, drinks and breakfasts.
Just a comment that guests should make sure nobody comes in the front door without having a code. Or give the code to a "visitor" because it is the same code for the front door and your hotel room.
Great stay in Berlin
The size of the room and location were perfect for my family of 3! The service was quick when we had questions. Public transport is near by and taxis or Ubers were quick to pick up. The Metropol is across the street and the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie are within 15 minute walking distance. Thank you, we highly recommend your place when staying in Berlin!
I think the instructions for checking in could be better because there's two doors with pin pads. Maybe a sliding door for the entrance to the shower/sink area for privacy.
Location is fantastic, U-Bahn straight across the road, buses straight out front. Fantastic restaurants to select from
Location to public transport and restaurants
Not having access to speak to staff directly about issues and having to wait lengthy times for replies through what’s app or booking.com messages. Booked a room with air conditioning however upon arrival it would not turn on and took staff 3 days to move us to another room. We were advised they would have someone come to fix the issue however this never happened. 3 very uncomfortable nights not being able to sleep.
Great price-benefit
Cleanness and easy check in process. Amenities were great, as well as location since it was located just in front of a station
Very recommended
Not first time here and really like a concept, great location near metro and a lot of stores and restaurants around. Very friendly staff and clean inside the room.
There is no clear sign „Entrance“ or name at the entrance door so we tried several minutes to enter through door for staff that literally next one till other guests showed us that we should use another door and said they had the same problem
Good location
Great location. Mostly comfortable accommodation. Check in process good. Helpful that they have lockers to store luggage in before check in and after check out times
The registration process ahead of check in proved to be very inflexible. Could do with more than one chair in the room. Small point but the sink in the bathroom had a movement sensor. At first this didn’t work; once fixed it was then just annoying
Superb
Great location with the Underground next to it. Check-in and check-out are done easily, and the laundry room is a nice plus for business trips:
