DR APARTMENTS
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first heard "DR Apartments" on Greifswalder Straße, I wasn't expecting much. The name sounds pretty clinical, right? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It's tucked into this lively stretch of Pankow that feels authentically Berlin without trying too hard, you know what I mean? The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense German architecture thing going on, and honestly, there's something reassuring about staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood spot than a tourist trap.
What really got me was how the apartments actually feel like... well, apartments. Not hotel rooms pretending to be homey, but actual spaces where you can spread out and live a bit. The kitchens are properly equipped – I mean, you can actually cook real meals, not just reheat instant noodles. The guy at reception (I think his name was Klaus?) was super helpful about pointing out the good grocery store around the corner and mentioned that the Sunday market on Kollwitzplatz is just a short tram ride away. Speaking of which, the M2 tram literally stops right outside, which makes getting around ridiculously easy. I ended up using it to zip down to Mitte most days instead of dealing with the U-Bahn crowds.
The neighborhood itself is what really sold me on this place, though. Greifswalder Straße has this perfect mix of local cafes and little shops that haven't been completely gentrified yet – there's still a proper old-school bakery next door where the woman behind the counter definitely judged my terrible German but warmed up after a few days. Evenings are pretty quiet, which was perfect after long days wandering around the city, but if you want some action, Prenzlauer Berg's buzzing restaurant scene is literally a ten-minute walk south. Fair warning though – weekend mornings can get a bit lively with foot traffic from the nearby S-Bahn station, but honestly, it just adds to the whole "living like a local" vibe. The apartments themselves are well-soundproofed, so it's not actually an issue unless you're trying to sleep with the windows open in summer. One small thing – the WiFi occasionally got spotty during peak evening hours, but nothing that would ruin your trip. For the price point and that solid 8.2 rating, DR Apartments delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and sometimes that's exactly what you need in a city like Berlin.

Clean & comfortable! Would book again!
Clean and spacious 3 miles from the city centre with good transport links and supermarket nearby.
Nothing it was more than adequate, but it’s worth noting it’s not suitable for wheelchair users.
Nice place for 4 people.
Good location. Nice apartment. The sbahn is 2 minutes walk. Supermarket and restaurants in the area. Laundry in the same block.
Too small for 8 people. Almost no space for luggage. The distribution is not the best.
Superb
Great location just a short 10 minute taxi ride from all the main sights of Berlin. Spacious and clean property. Simple check in and quick responses from host when we had a query.
The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable.
Good stay!
The apartment is well located, near to tram and bus station. It is easy to get to the city center. It has all facilities, coffee, sugar, tea, etc. We visit in October and the hitting was working. Was nice temperature inside. Beds are large, for two persons. We were 5 people and the space was perfect for us. I recommend it.
The apartment has the entry door directly from the street and then you have to go down few stairs. You can hear the noise from the cars and people streight in the living room. The windows are at street level. We knew those details from prior posts and didn't bother us. We had a nice stay.
Excellent apartment in the heart of Berlin.
Great location, walking distance to Alexandrplatz and close to various lines of public transport. The apartment was spacious and we had more than enough room for 2 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and there even was a coffee machine with capsules. TV with PS3 was cool for the kids to finish the day.
The entry door leads straight to the street - takes some time to get used to. Dark blinds on the door windows would be perfect.
We had a nice stay, appreciated the family-friendly setup, and Dusan was an awesome host.
The location is great—super accessible with public transportation right nearby. One thing we really loved was the kitchen. Being able to cook was a huge plus for us, especially since my family loves rice and German food isn’t big on that. The free coffee was a nice bonus too! The apartment itself is spacious and worked well for our family, and they even had a crib ready for my niece, which was really thoughtful.
The bathroom wasn’t the best—the toilet clogged pretty easily, and the shower didn’t drain well, so we had to wait a while for it to clear. The bed wasn’t very sturdy either. Also, since the apartment is close to public transportation, we could hear the buses and trams passing by, which was a bit noisy at times.
Overall a great stay
The apartment is beautiful. Everything was prepared when we arrived. The check-in & check-out was really easy and smooth. Lots of space, completely equipped kitchen even though we didn't use it and generally a very cozy place.
The beds in the bedroom were a bit squeaky and one of them a bit shaky too. The apartment is right on the main road so you will hear some traffic noise at any given point.
Good
Good location, clean bathroom. Netflix and games as a bonus :-)

En general todo correcto.
