Ferienwohnung 3
About
You know what? When I first pulled up to Niemetzstraße 51, I'll be honest – I wasn't expecting much from a place called "Ferienwohnung 3." The name's pretty basic, right? But this little apartment in Neukölln completely changed my mind about Berlin's most misunderstood district. The building itself has that classic Berlin charm – you know, the kind with high ceilings and thick walls that actually keep the street noise out (which matters more than you'd think on this particular stretch).
What really got me was how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. The apartment's got this lived-in feeling that's way better than those sterile hotel rooms – I mean, there's actual personality here. The kitchen's small but functional, and honestly, having a proper coffee setup in the morning made all the difference. Plus, you're literally a five-minute walk from Karl-Marx-Straße, which I know sounds intimidating if you've never been, but it's actually where all the good Turkish food is. The döner place on the corner? Trust me on this one. And if you're into the whole "authentic Berlin" thing, Körnerpark is just around the corner – it's this hidden gem that most tourists never find because they're too busy fighting crowds at Alexanderplatz.
The thing about staying in Neukölln is that you're getting real Berlin life, not the sanitized version. Yeah, it's a bit grittier than Mitte, but that's exactly why locals love it here. The U-Bahn connection is actually solid – you can get to the touristy stuff in about 20 minutes, but then you come back to a neighborhood where people are just living their lives. I spent half my evenings just walking around discovering random bars and late-night spots that you'd never find in a guidebook. The apartment itself is quiet enough (those thick walls I mentioned), but you'll still hear the city humming outside – which, honestly, is part of the charm. Parking was surprisingly manageable if you're driving, though I'd recommend just using public transport. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be fancy, but everything works, it's clean, and the location gives you that insider's view of Berlin that most visitors miss entirely.

Clean and comfy place with all necessary amenities. Good value for money.
Very good
It was very clean and pretty I really liked it.
It was kid of far from the center, but the metro/train stop was a 10min walk, no it is not that bad
Great little place
Everything clean and the host was nice enough to leave us a welcoming gift.
I am not used to such small duvets/blankets, but it was good enough
OK place
Very friendly host, well equipped studio, fast internet, comfortable bed, close to the transport stop. A good place to explore Berlin at a reasonable price!
Nearly perfect!
The host was incredibly nice and helpful! We had a short chat, and he recommended us a few places we could hang out at near the accommodation. The place was clean, spacious and supplied with almost everything you may need. Even wine, which we didn't get to drink in the end, but it was much appreciated!
The only thing the place is missing is an iron, so make sure to bring one with you if you feel like it's something you may need!
Great Location. Great value for money.
The location was great. Easy access to public transport. Less than 20 minutes commute to the city center. Great value for money. Perfect for 3-4 people.
Excelent
It is a very comfortable place, well equipped, impeccable and the gentlemen who served us are super friendly.
Perhaps the area in which it is located is not the most beautiful in the city but it is super well connected with the metro, train and buses.
Beyond expectations
Location, host's availability, the general setup and all the amenities included.Fridge, hot plate, kettle, coffe maker.
The only thing missing is a microwave or toaster oven, it would make everything much easier,
