The building itself has that classic Berlin apartment block vibe, which I actually prefer to those generic glass boxes you see everywhere now.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (no weird upselling tactics), and the front desk guy actually gave me useful recommendations – not just the obvious tourist traps but places where locals hang out. The rooms are... well, they're what you'd expect for the price point, honestly. Clean, functional, decent beds. Nothing fancy, but I slept well and the shower had proper water pressure, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I've stayed. I mean, the 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it's not trying to be something it isn't, but it delivers on what matters. Would I stay here again? Yeah, probably. Especially if I wanted to experience Berlin without paying tourist prices for everything within walking distance.
