The building sits in this interesting part of Berlin where you're close enough to feel connected to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually think straight. I mean, you're near Yorckstraße, which locals know is one of those areas that's been quietly getting cooler without screaming about it.

The lobby hits you with this sort of industrial-chic vibe – exposed concrete mixed with warm lighting that actually works instead of feeling cold and pretentious. What really got me was how they've designed the spaces to flow into each other naturally. The lounge area (hence the name, I guess) becomes this spot where business travelers end up chatting with couples on weekend getaways, and it doesn't feel forced or weird. The rooms themselves are what I'd call thoughtfully minimal – clean lines, good lighting for actually reading, and beds that don't leave you wondering if the previous guest was a restless sleeper. You know what impressed me most? The soundproofing. Berlin can get loud, especially if you're anywhere near the action, but I slept through what must have been a pretty decent street party one night.
