H+ Hotel 4Youth
About
You know what caught me off guard about H+ Hotel 4Youth? The location is actually brilliant – and I say that as someone who's stayed in way too many Berlin hotels that promised "central" locations but delivered disappointment. This place sits right on Bernauer Straße, which honestly gives you the best of both worlds. You're in Mitte, so you can walk to all the main sights, but you're also close enough to Prenzlauer Berg that you can duck into those amazing little cafés and bars that most tourists never find.
The "4Youth" part might make you think it's going to be a hostel-style chaos situation, but it's not – it's more like they've just stripped away the stuffy hotel nonsense and focused on what actually matters. The rooms are clean and modern without trying too hard, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable (I'm picky about mattresses, trust me). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you're on a fairly busy street. The windows actually work, which... well, you'd be amazed how many Berlin hotels mess that up. The WiFi is solid throughout the building – I could work from the lobby without wanting to throw my laptop out the window.
Here's the thing that really sold me on this place: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Hackescher Markt without taking the obvious touristy route, the guy at reception didn't just Google it – he drew me a little map showing which streets to take and mentioned this random courtyard I never would have discovered otherwise. The breakfast is decent (nothing fancy, but fresh bread and good coffee), and they keep it going until 10:30, which is perfect if you're not a morning person. I mean, the building itself has this interesting history – you're basically staying meters from where the Berlin Wall used to run, and you can walk to the Memorial in about three minutes. But they don't make a huge deal about it, which I found refreshing compared to other places that beat you over the head with their historical significance. The check-in was smooth, parking is available if you're driving (though honestly, why would you in Berlin?), and the whole vibe is just... relaxed. It's a solid 3-star that doesn't pretend to be something it's not, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

Weekend in Berlin
- Excellent location - Very clean - Good breakfast
- Very uncomfortable cheap pillows - A bit too pricy for the class of the hotel
Superb
Excellent location near Mauerpark and Arkona Platz. Clean and tidy rooms. Good breakfast.
Superb
Very nice place, clean and comfortable. Great location and very friendly staff .
I missed having a kettle in the room, I asked for one but they told me that it wasn't possible. At least they offered me hot water for a cup tea every night.
Fab stay
Clean tidy and really well located with trams stopping outside the door almost and a station 5 mins walk. I stayed for the weekend and ran Berlin half marathon whilst I was here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again and recommend.

Very good location, easy access to transports
A nice and clean hotel conviniently located
The tram and metro stations are nearby, or you can enjoy the walk to the city centre, the district felt nice and safe. I loved the big window in my room!
There was no kettle/fridge in my room, which wasn’t a problem for my short stay, but wouldn’t be perfect for a longer one.
Superb
Good breakfast. Room is simple but clean. Hotel stuff are friendly and willing to help. They also replies to email very in time.
Parking is a bit tricky in Berlin. The hotel does offer parking for 30Euro /day.
Good place to stay.
Value for money but comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to the nearest train station. Small grocery nearby.
No lights inside the entrance door where wall mirror is installed. Kettle, mugs and glasses should be provided in the room.
