harry’s home hotel & apartments
About
You know what? I wasn't expecting much when I first pulled up to Harry's Home – honestly, the name made me think it might be some quirky boutique place trying too hard to be homey. But this place actually gets it right in a way that surprised me.
The whole concept here is pretty clever – they've got regular hotel rooms if that's your thing, but the apartment-style setups are where they really shine. I mean, having a proper kitchenette changes everything when you're traveling, especially if you're the type who gets tired of eating out every meal (or your wallet does). The apartments don't feel like those sterile extended-stay places either – there's actual character here, with decent furniture that doesn't look like it came from a bulk hotel supply catalog. The staff seems to get that people staying in the apartments want a different experience than typical hotel guests. They're helpful without being hovering, if that makes sense.
What really sold me on this place is how they've managed to hit that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment independence. The housekeeping situation is flexible – you can have them come daily like a hotel, or just when you need fresh towels and linens like you're renting an actual apartment. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that drawn-out process where they try to upsell you on breakfast packages and spa treatments. The 4-star rating feels honest – it's not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully put together. That 8.7 rating from other travelers tracks with my experience – high enough that you know it's genuinely good, but not so perfect that you wonder if the reviews are fake.
I'll be honest, there are a few things that keep it from being perfect. The soundproofing between units could be better – not terrible, but you might hear your neighbors if they're having a particularly animated phone call. And while the kitchenettes are great, don't expect high-end appliances or extensive cookware. But honestly? These feel like minor trade-offs for what you get. The value proposition here is solid, especially if you're staying more than a night or two. It's the kind of place where you can actually settle in and feel comfortable, rather than just crashing between tourist activities. Plus, there's something refreshing about a hotel that doesn't try to be everything to everyone – they've figured out their niche and they do it well.
