Homaris East Side
About
You know what? The Homaris East Side isn't going to blow your mind, but honestly, that's kind of its charm. This three-star spot sits right in the thick of things on the east side – and I mean properly east, not that touristy "east side" some hotels claim when they're barely past downtown. When I first walked in, the lobby had this lived-in feel that immediately told me real people stay here, not just Instagram influencers hunting for the perfect shot.
The thing about this place is it gets the basics absolutely right, which sounds boring but actually isn't. The rooms are clean without being sterile, the beds are comfortable enough that you'll sleep through the night (though if you're a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs – the street can get a bit lively on weekends). What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting coffee that wasn't terrible, the front desk guy didn't just point me to the nearest chain but told me about this little spot three blocks down where locals grab their morning fix. That's the kind of insider knowledge you can't fake.
I'll be straight with you – the Homaris isn't trying to be something it's not. The décor is pleasant but forgettable, the bathrooms are functional rather than spa-like, and you won't find any fancy amenities that jack up the price for features you'll never use. But here's what you will find: a place that understands its guests are probably spending most of their time exploring the city, not lounging around the hotel. The 7.9 rating makes perfect sense once you've stayed there – it's solidly good without any major complaints. Check-in was smooth, the elevator worked (always a relief in older buildings), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than some four-star places I've tried. If you're the type of traveler who wants a reliable base camp rather than a destination hotel, the Homaris East Side delivers exactly what it promises.

Everything was amazing ! I recommend.
I came with my car and I was able to park it at the nearby East Side Mall at a reasonable price - that was quite convenient.

Location was good, short walk to the train station, close to restaurants and a lidl, shower was really good and come with a powerful hair dryer. There a portable heater and fan. We appreciated the heater.
Really clean and comfortable room. Location is close to lots of public transport options.
