Hotel Aquino Berlin
About
You know what? Hotel Aquino Berlin completely caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you hear "3-star hotel," you're probably thinking basic rooms and maybe continental breakfast if you're lucky. But honestly, this place punches way above its weight class, and that 8.6 rating starts making total sense the moment you walk through the door.
The thing about Berlin is that location really isn't just about being central – it's about being in a neighborhood that actually feels alive, you know? And Hotel Aquino nails this. The area has this perfect mix of local cafes where Berliners actually hang out (not just tourist traps) and enough green space that you can escape the concrete when you need to breathe. I actually found myself walking everywhere instead of jumping on the U-Bahn, which says something because Berlin's pretty sprawling. The staff here – well, they're the kind of people who remember your name by day two and can point you toward that little bakery three blocks over that doesn't show up on Google Maps but makes the best pretzels in the district.
What really gets me about this place is how they've managed to keep things feeling personal without trying too hard. The rooms aren't trying to be Instagram-perfect or overly minimalist in that cold way some hotels go for. Instead, everything just... works. The beds are actually comfortable (I'm talking properly supportive, not just soft), the Wi-Fi doesn't cut out when you need it most, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the lighting in the rooms is warm enough that you don't feel like you're living in an office building. Plus, the soundproofing is surprisingly solid for a building this age. Berlin can get pretty lively at night, especially on weekends, but I never had trouble sleeping. Check-in was smooth too, none of that awkward standing around while they "find your reservation" drama. The front desk folks speak excellent English, but they're also patient if you want to practice your terrible German – which I definitely appreciated since my pronunciation is... well, let's just say it needs work. Parking isn't a nightmare either, which honestly shocked me given how tight street parking gets in most Berlin neighborhoods. They've got arrangements with a nearby garage that won't completely destroy your budget, and that's worth its weight in gold if you're driving in the city.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

A very kind staff. Always ready to help and with good advices about the restaurants and coffee place in the zone. Very important: That is a place where you really can feel the "calm" concept, wonderful rest time, without noises from street or any disturbing. It's very recommended to stay alone or with family. The are to work in the room is wonderful, they have a useful deak to put laptops and other devices. Also the coffee options in the room every morning, it's invaluable! 😀 Awesome!
The staff was very polite and helpful. The location is exceptional, very close to the tram and subway. Many restaurants are also in walking distance.
Nice and quiet location (but still in the middle of the city). Comfortable room with good breakfast. Friendly people.

The hotel is in a really great location and easily accessible to the rest of Berlin. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was nice. The staff were helpful with any issues.
