About
First Impressions
Walking up to The Koburger HH, lovely 1 BR with high bed up to 4 ppl, you immediately get the sense this isn't your typical Berlin hotel. Located on a quiet residential street in Tempelhof-Schöneberg, it feels more like you're staying at a friend's thoughtfully designed apartment than checking into a standard three-star property. The building itself has that classic Berlin charm — you know, the kind with high ceilings and thick walls that actually keep the street noise out. What struck me right away was how the space manages to feel both cozy and surprisingly spacious, which honestly isn't easy to pull off in this city.
The Neighborhood Experience
Tempelhof-Schöneberg is one of those Berlin districts that locals love but tourists often overlook — and that's actually part of its appeal. You're close enough to the action but far enough away to get a real feel for how Berliners actually live. There's a fantastic bakery just two blocks down that does proper German breakfast rolls, and the U-Bahn connection at Eisenacher Straße gets you to Potsdamer Platz in about ten minutes. I mean, couples consistently rate this location highly for good reason — it's got that perfect balance of authentic neighborhood vibes without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
The Space Itself
The "high bed" mentioned in the name isn't just marketing speak — it's actually a clever loft-style setup that maximizes the space brilliantly. The main living area feels open and airy, while the elevated sleeping area creates this nice sense of separation without walls. What I really appreciated was how they've managed to accommodate up to four people without making the place feel cramped. The kitchen area is compact but functional (perfect for making morning coffee or storing those late-night snack runs), and there's enough seating that you don't feel like you're living on top of each other.
Practical Details That Matter
Here's what actually makes a difference when you're staying somewhere — the WiFi works reliably, the shower has decent water pressure, and the heating system doesn't sound like a freight train at night. The windows are properly insulated, which you'll appreciate if you've ever tried to sleep through Berlin's enthusiastic nightlife. Storage space is thoughtfully planned too, with enough room to actually unpack if you're staying more than a night or two. Small touches like having a proper full-length mirror and adequate lighting make the daily routine much more pleasant than you'd expect from a three-star place.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is how this place strikes that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity. You're not paying for marble lobbies or concierge services you probably won't use anyway — instead, you get a well-designed space in a genuinely great location that feels like home base for exploring Berlin. The fact that recent guests rated the location 8.6 tells you everything you need to know about how well-positioned this place is. It's the kind of spot where you can easily picture yourself settling in for a few days, whether you're here for the museums, the food scene, or just soaking up the city's unique energy.

The apartment looks exactly like the photos ,only it's a bit larger than it seems. Its brand new which is likely why it seems so clean. It included everything we needed; a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, a dishwasher, coffee & toast makers, as well as a wash machine/dryer. The bed was quite big and the apartment was big enough for a couple, even a family of 4. The bathroom was clean, including a hairdryer and additional toilet paper.Towels and sheets were clean. The room was also warm although we had to turn off the heater since the weather was quite warm in Berlin during our stay. The location is also nice, the area is quiet and safe, a 30' bus/métro ride away from the most central places.
Over all is great on clean8ng side there needs to be improved for kitchen wares and ironing table
I liked the excellent bathroom and shower. I also liked the very frequent bus services just a minute away at the end of the street.
The host was good at communicating and flexible about meeting us to hand over keys. The flat was quiet despite being in the city, and was clean, warm and comfortable. The host provided tea and coffee, as well as washing up liquid and hand soap. The apartment is a short walk from access to the U and S Bahn and in walking distance of supermarkets. The kitchenette has a combi microwave and a hob so cooking simple meals is possible. However there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby too.
Nice studio, well equipped, close to trains, buses and shops. Very quiet.
It was close to train station and shops and our conference venue
Very quiet and peaceful place. Reccommend!
