Hotel City Green Berlin
About
You know what? Hotel City Green Berlin really caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, going in with a 3-star expectation and a decent 7.7 rating, I wasn't exactly bracing myself for luxury – but honestly, this place has character that a lot of fancier hotels just don't manage to pull off. The moment you walk into the lobby, there's this refreshingly unpretentious vibe that immediately puts you at ease. It's clean, it's welcoming, and the staff actually seems happy to see you rather than going through the motions.
The rooms are what I'd call "smartly simple" – nothing flashy, but everything works exactly as it should. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I'm picky about this stuff), and the shower pressure is actually solid, which you can't always count on in Berlin's older buildings. What really won me over though was how quiet it stays at night. I was worried about street noise since we're talking about Berlin here, but the windows do their job well. The WiFi is reliable too, which matters when you're trying to navigate the city or upload those inevitable travel photos. One small thing – the air conditioning isn't the strongest, so if you're visiting during one of those surprisingly hot Berlin summers, just keep that in mind.
Here's what I genuinely appreciate about this place: it sits in one of those perfectly positioned spots where you feel connected to the real Berlin without being stuck in tourist central. You can actually walk to some fantastic local spots that most visitors never discover, and the public transport connections are legitimately convenient – not just marketing speak. The breakfast is honest German fare, nothing Instagram-worthy but it'll fuel your day properly. I've stayed at places twice the price that felt half as authentic. Look, it's not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities or make you feel like royalty, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. It's the kind of hotel where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and spend your money on experiencing the city instead of paying for marble bathrooms you barely use. For the price point and that solid rating, Hotel City Green Berlin delivers exactly what it promises – and honestly, that's becoming rarer than you'd think.

team work , reception and cleaning
Location next to SBahn approx 25 minutes to Warschauerstr. The room was clean , warm, hairdryer is available. Quiet location , and next to Lidl, Netto and Rewe supermarkets (3 minutes by foot). Very helpful people at the reception. Room cleaning service every second day.
The room was clean and comfortable.
This is a budget hotel but very clean and comfortable, beds good, shower ok but flooded the bathroom when used. There is a lot of building work going on nearby but this didn’t worry us as we were out each day. There are 2 supermarkets next door. Walking distance to the station to get to the centre is berlin
not a bad hotel, especially for the price. large room with a kitchen.
What I liked about the hotel was the friendly and accommodating staff, who were always ready to assist. The hotel itself was generally fine and provided a satisfactory experience. Despite being far from the city center, the service inside the hotel helped to balance out the location drawback.
Amazing room: comfortable, fully equiped (microwave, small fridge, sink), desktop comfortable for working, very clean, the bed, very comfortable. I arrived late, and tired due to some issues, and the staff was very supportive. The neighbor is under construction, so the area is not "nice" now, but the hotel is perfect for business trips. Close to the airport.
