The location is actually pretty clever if you know Berlin at all. Being right on the Spree means you're close enough to the action without dealing with the tourist chaos around Museum Island or Alexanderplatz. I mean, you can easily walk to the main sights, but you're also in this quieter pocket where locals actually live and work. The river views from some rooms are nothing spectacular – we're talking about industrial Berlin here, not some alpine lake – but there's something oddly soothing about watching the occasional boat drift by while you're having your morning coffee.
