King David Garden
About
You know what? The King David Garden caught me off guard in the best possible way. I'll be honest - when I first saw it from the street, I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star place. The exterior is pretty understated, maybe even a little dated, but once you step inside there's this surprisingly warm atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
The lobby has this lived-in feel that I actually prefer over those sterile chain hotels - you can tell real people stay here, not just business travelers rushing through. The staff genuinely seems to know what they're doing, and check-in was refreshingly quick without all the upselling nonsense you get elsewhere. My room was clean and comfortable, though honestly the furnishings show their age a bit. The bed was better than I expected (I'm picky about mattresses), and the shower had decent water pressure - always a win in my book. What really sold me was the garden area they're named for. It's not huge, but there are these little seating nooks where you can actually relax with morning coffee or an evening drink. I mean, it's nothing fancy, but it feels authentic in a way that's hard to find anymore.
The location works well if you don't mind walking a bit - you're not right in the thick of everything, which means it's quieter at night but still accessible to where you want to go. Parking wasn't a nightmare, which is saying something. I noticed the place fills up with a mix of leisure travelers and what looked like some long-term guests, which tells you something about the value. The 7.0 rating feels about right - it's solid without being spectacular. There are definitely newer, flashier options around, but sometimes you just want a place that does the basics well without breaking the bank. If you're the type who cares more about exploring during the day than hanging out in an Instagram-worthy hotel room, the King David Garden delivers exactly what it promises.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

Price and location
Good location near U-Bahn. The room had everything necessary. Our problem was compensated quickly and the administrator was available at midnight, trying to help as much as possible!
Very convenient
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I booked it at 18:00 when check-in was up to 00:00. I mentioned during pyment that I will arrive late (23:00-00:00) and I received an approval of my booking. I came to hotel at 23:40 and it was open but room to check-in was already closed! It seems that they just left the hotel earlier. I called several times to the number mentioned at Booking but they never responed. I texted and called them at WhatsApp as well and no answer. I called Booking support and after 10 minutes waiting I haven't got a response yet. I texted Booking support, but I got auto response that I will get an answer in 24 hour. It's super frustrating as I arrived at the hotel at time, it was night and I had no place to stay. In addition to it, the hotel charged full amount in advance! I was waiting at the hotel till 01:00 and nobody from hotel was there. I must to leave the hotel without checkin and find some place for the night. When I reached Booking support next day they said they cannot reach the hotel manager. I was waiting for 2 weeks without any refund (I paid for the night but hotel was not able to check me in) In 2 weeks, Booking said thay they contacted hotel owner and the hotel owner did not agree with me without providing any proof. Booking support just stated it, not acting on the behalf of client. They suggested to contact the hotel directly and if they approve the refund, Booking will proceed it. It seems that this hotel is a scam. Do not recommend you to stay here. They will steal your money and you will hear no response from them.
The dwelling is very well located in a safe commercial area. The rooms were clean with sufficient space. The personell was the aspect that I appreciated the most as was very kind and willing to promptly accomodate our requests. Thanks for this stay and till next time!
Friendly staff, very comfortable bed (& room) and beautiful interior. Possibility to get your coffee or tee in your room. Smart TV available. All in all I had a perfect stay!
